Discovery Trekking Outfitters (DTO) is located on Ironwood Street, next to Curves. What began as a home-based business has evolved to a full manufacturing cut and sew facility that produces several product lines that are sold worldwide. The store and showroom is open Monday through Saturday. We feature West Coast outerwear such as Jackets, vests, and pants which we make on site. Whether off the rack, or custom-made to fit you perfectly, each garment is made with high tech, water & wind repellent softshells. These are breathable stretch fabrics that ensure comfort for every activity, and come in many weights for all weather conditions. We custom-cut each garment to fit you perfectly, regardless of size or height; and offer you choices of color and options such as hoods, reflective piping, and more. Gift certificates are available for that hard-to-buy-for person. • We are “most” famous for the Fast-Dry sport & travel towels which were developed by DTO owner, Leslie Hanes. These thin, luxurious towels have been featured in over 100 gear reviews throughout the USA, Canada, and Australia. They are sold in many countries. We still sew some of them here, but much of the volume is sewn and warehoused in the USA. These towels are very unique. They dry 4 times faster than conventional towels, and contain Silver…which kills bacteria. Therefore, they stay much fresher. They are eco-friendly, as the yarn uses recycled fibers, and they also save on energy as they dry so fast. Available in 2 weights and many sizes for everything from golf and running, to backpacking, swimming, and travel. • We feature a clothing and sleepwear line that utilizes the high tech fabrics developed for the towels. Our “Hot Flash” nighties and next-toskin moisture-wicking shirts keep you dry and fresh, as the fabric contains the same Polygiene Silver treatment that kills germs and odor-causing bacteria. Shirts are made to order, with many colors to choose from. The long underwear is perfect for hunting or skiing! Our newest addition is a “Pool Wrap” which is a multi-functional cover-up that makes a wonderful light housecoat. • Discovery Trekking developed the “Hot Flash” line of pillowcases mainly for women, but they are surprisingly popular with men. This soft silky fabric contains Silver to kill bacteria, and dries super-fast to keep sweat from absorbing into your pillow. Pillows stay cleaner, and you stay dry and comfy while you sleep! • Discovery Trekking also makes several mass-produced sewn products that are sold to retailers around the world. One such product is a swim diaper for persons with Special Needs, as well as active aging adults.
