REGISTRATION INFORMATION REGISTRATION POLICIES AND GUIDELINES Uh-oh, we had to cancel Regrettably, if a minimum number of registrants are not met, we may have to cancel or combine classes due to insufficient registration. These decisions are made prior to the course start date. Please register early to avoid disappointment. A 100% refund is granted when we cancel a program. When a class has been cancelled due to instructor illness or weather conditions, a class will be added on at the end of the session. If this is not possible, a credit will be placed on your account in the amount of the class missed. Sorry, the course is full If a program is full, please ask staff to put your name on our waitlist. Staff review these lists continually and we will do our best to accommodate those waitlisted. Customer Satisfaction We care about your experience in our programs. Please contact our Programmer directly to discuss any questions, comments or concerns that you have with our recreation programs. Extended Illness / Injury In cases of extended illness or injury, a prorated refund or credit may be granted upon provision of a medical note.

Missed Classes Classes missed due to sickness, vacation, or other reasons will not be refunded or credited. Oops, changed your plans? A credit in the form of a gift card or a refund will be issued if we receive withdrawal notification 1 week prior to the course start date. If less than 1 week’s notice is given, no refund or credit will be issued. In the case of week-long camps we require notification 2 weeks in advance of program start date. There may be other exceptions to these guidelines. In some cases, these exceptions will be noted in the individual course description. Refund Fee All program refund requests are subject to a $5 administration fee, unless otherwise noted in the individual course description. Class Changes All programs are subject to price, time, and location changes. Every effort will be made to notify you of any changes. HOW TO REGISTER AND BOOK FACILITIES Cowichan Lake Recreation offers two easy methods for program registration and facility bookings: in person and by telephone. Space is filled on a first come/first served basis. Payment is required at the time of registration, so please “Pay before you Play”. All programs and admission fees include applicable taxes. In Person Stop by Cowichan Lake Sports Arena (CLSA) or Youbou Hall during office hours and our friendly staff will be happy to process your request. Payment by cash, Interac, Visa, MasterCard, and cheques* are accepted. *CHEQUES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS IF THERE IS NOT SUFFICIENT TIME FOR THE CHEQUE TO CLEAR THE BANK. AN ADMINISTRATION FEE OF $5.00 WILL BE CHARGED ON ALL NON-SUFFICIENT FUND PAYMENTS. EARLY YEARS PLAY & LEARN Play & Learn provides a safe and nurturing experience in an early learning setting that prepares children for kindergarten. We nurture a positive self-image in each child, provide the opportunity to make friends and be a friend, and promote self-care and independence. RETREADS HIKING CLUB Adults Code: 3196 The Retreads Hiking Club welcomes all outdoor enthusiasts interested in fitness and fun to join in exploring the beautiful trails of the Cowichan Valley area and other parts of central Vancouver Island. The yearly membership fee is $15.00 and is valid from July 1, 2014 until June 30, 2015. The drop-in fee is $2.00 per hike. Pick up a schedule from the Cowichan Lake Sports Arena or the tourist information centre. The club meets every Wednesday morning at Saywell Park in Lake Cowichan.
