We’re all glad to see you here and we’ve got a spectacular show for you to enjoy. We are looking forward to another great weekend of concerts, jams, workshops, and friendship. Read on through this program for more information about the mainstage performers, workshops and open stage shows for your enjoyment. Don’t miss the Strings n Things marketplace where you’ll find festival T-Shirts, CD’s, Instruments, and a variety of interesting craft items for sale. We’ve done our best to incorporate many of the suggestions that were offered by last years audience and thank you for helping to make the True North Fraser Bluegrass Festival the greatest festival in B.C. There’s great food at the vendors kiosks, slo-pitch jams every morning after the workshops, raffles, draws, prizes, and free hot buttered corn at the close of the show each night. We have both RV and tent sites on the Festival grounds for a whole week of pickin’ strings in the campground and experiencin’ the thrill of that good ol’ mountain music that we call Bluegrass. I had the great pleasure of taking in the performances last year and I know you are in for a treat. I’m so proud that this festival is held here in our backyard, nestled among the beautiful natural setting we are blessed with. With toe-tapping music and lots of other things to see and do, the True North Fraser Bluegrass Festival offers people from all around the region a weekend of music, friends, food and fun. This year will feature bands from both near and far, all playing tunes that young and old will enjoy. Many thanks to the organizers of the festival, as well as the volunteers who make it a success, and the local sponsors who are supporting events that bring people together in our community. Site Information • No fires are permitted anywhere on the festival site. • Security personnel are posted at the main entrance gate at 10 pm to allow entry and exit by paid festival patrons only. • Gates reopen each morning at 9 am for new visitors to the festival. • In case of emergency there is a first aid station located near the outdoor vending area or call 911. • A lost and found is located at the first aid/information station near the outdoor vending area. • Festival staff and volunteers can be identified by their True North Fraser t-shirts with “Volunteer” printed on the back. Please cooperate with their requests and feel free to ask them for help at anytime. • Portable toilets and garbage containers have been placed on site for your convenience. If they need attention, please help us by notifying the festival office or one of the volunteers.
• Fire lanes have been marked in the camping areas, please be sure you are not camping within these lanes. • Please, no ghetto blasters or music not in keeping with the festival theme. • Consider your neighbours, both when choosing a camp space, and while camping. • In the event of excessive noise or inappropriate behaviour, the offending persons will be asked to leave the festival site. • We are guests of the Albion Fairgrounds, please help us keep the site clean and tidy. Campers are requested to clean up their campsite and dispose of any remaining garbage in the waste containers in the camp area before you leave. • All campers are asked to please leave the site before noon on Monday.
• Festival patrons are not permitted to set up chairs in the main stage area until 6 pm on Friday, 10 am on Saturday or 8:30 am on Sunday. Chairs left vacant by the owners may be used by others, but must be vacated upon the owners return. • Absolutely no alcohol is permitted in the concert areas, buildings or public areas. No open alcohol containers are permitted in the camping areas. • No pets or bicycles are permitted in the concert areas.

Band Information JOE MULLINS & THE RADIO RAMBLERS
The Ohio Valley has long been a hotbed of Bluegrass activity, producing such top acts as the Osborne Brothers, Larry Sparks, and more. Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers have an energetic mix of quality Bluegrass and Gospel music, a professional presentation, inventive instrumental work, a wide variety of vocal arrangements including acapella quartets and tasteful, down-home humor. Their professionalism and successful, heavily played recordings have kept them in demand with a national audience. JMRR have been seen by thousands of fans across the country at nearly every national Bluegrass event.

THE SWEET LOWDOWN
Windy Hill began as an idea in a Menlo Park (CA) High School woodshop class, where two 17-year-old friends started talking about live music. They discovered a mutual love for the songs of Bill Monroe, Carter Stanley, and Jimmy Martin and set out to learn to play and sing traditional music. In 2008, these two friends – Henry Warde and Ryan Breen – found themselves in Fort Collins, Colorado, and started their band. Windy Hill was always the natural choice for the band name, inspired by a golden hill separating the San Francisco Bay Area from the Pacific Ocean. The next year, they returned to California and Kyle McCabe, joined the band. Henry (mandolin), Ryan (banjo), and Thomas Wille (guitar) usually form the band’s power trio, while Kyle (bass) holds down the beat.
The Sweet Lowdown can take you anywhere you want to go, from a sunny front porch to the outer reaches of the universe. Blending original songwriting and three-part harmonies with an old-time instrumental groove, this awardwinning acoustic roots trio from Victoria, BC creates a unique yet timeless sound that takes listeners on a pleasurable and memorable journey. Drawn together by mutual passion for oldtime music, hard-driving bluegrass, sweet harmonies and well-wrought songs, The Sweet Lowdown (Amanda Blied-guitar, Shanti Bremer-banjo and Miriam Sonstenes-fiddle) pays homage to its musical roots while simultaneously breaking new ground. Each member contributes to the band’s original repertoire and each has a unique vocal flair as well as impressive instrumental chops.

Rural Delivery is a contemporary Bluegrass band based out of the Seattle area since 1976. Crowds welcome the group’s rich harmonies and energetic presence. Terrence Enyeart- from Washington, sings lead vocals and plays mandolin and lead guitar. Steve Thomas- from Santa Rosa, California, plays rhythm and lead guitar complementing his rich and appealing voice. Dale Williams- of Bothell, Washington, is regarded as one of the most accomplished and exciting banjo players of the Northwest. Deborah Enyeart- partner to Terry, is the rock solid beat of the band. “If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em”. Rick Meade- is a strong singer and articulate player who is pretty much comfortable playing anything with strings.

SCOUT MOUNTAIN
Scout Mountain is a five-piece band from the Beautiful Sunshine Coast. Their mission statement says it all: “To have as much fun as possible, (It’s working so far). To be as entertaining as possible, (We really try), To be a little better every time we play.” Each of the members brings a different feel and sound to the traditional Bluegrass and gospel they do and this year they are excited to be adding original material to the mix. Scout Mountain was conceived on a road trip to the Chilliwack Festival five years ago, and to play Maple Ridge this year is just a huge treat, and a bit of a birthday party for them.
