At the peak of the blaze, flames were shooting about 60 feet into the sky. It took crews several hours to get the blaze under control. Charges laid in fatal hit-and-run Man, 41, dies two days after being struck Abbotsford News
A 44-year-old Abbotsford man has been charged in relation to a fatal hitand-run last Friday. Mario Richard Delellis, 44, has been charged with aggravated assault, assault, failing to remain at the scene of an accident, and dangerous driving causing bodily harm. Abbotsford Police Const. Paul Walker said police were called to the 2200 block of McKenzie Road on Friday at about 5 p.m. following reports that a
pedestrian had been struck by a small passenger-sized vehicle, which had fled the scene. A 41-year-old man at the scene was suffering from serious injuries, including fractures and broken bones along one side of his body, Walker said. The man, whose name has not been released, was taken to hospital, where he died of his injuries on Sunday. Walker said the two men knew each other, and the incident took place close to the victim’s residence. He said there was “some kind of dialogue” leading up to the collision.

20-plus bands at Rockin’ River Annual country event in Mission

Popular country group Rascal Flatts will be performing at the Rockin’ River Music Festival.
There’s less than a month before Mission Raceway Park is filled with thousands of people for one of the biggest three-day country music parties in the country. Running Aug. 7-9, there will be three stages showcasing more than 20 bands, including Rascal Flatts, Terri Clark, Gord Bamford, The Road Hammers, Hey Romeo, and Julian Austin. Last year, the festival drew nearly 30,000 people over three days. This year camping space has expanded again, and festival organizers are anticipating even greater attendance. The 2014 event starts Aug. 7 with its kickoff party welcoming campers and music fans with Canadian country star Julian Austin and the Chris Buck Band. Several tribute bands – Aerosmith Rocks, High Voltage (AC/DC) and Legzz (ZZ Top) – will also grace the three stages. New charges for Jamie Bacon Abbotsford News
Accused killer Jamie Bacon, formerly of Abbotsford, faces three new charges in relation to an alleged plan to slay a fellow Red Scorpion gang member. The charges were announced Monday in B.C. Supreme Court in Vancouver. Bacon has been charged with counselling another person to commit an indictable offence, the commission of an offence for a criminal organization, and instructing the commission of an offence for a criminal organization. He is next scheduled to appear Aug. 22 on those charges. The charges allege that Bacon was involved in a plot to kill Person X – whose name is protected by a publication ban in the Surrey Six trial – sometime between Nov. 30, 2008 and Jan. 2, 2009. The plot allegedly took place around Abbotsford, Port Moody, Port Coquitlam and Coquitlam. Person X survived a targeted shooting in December 2008 and is currently serving a life sentence after pleading guilty to killing three of the people in the Surrey Six slayings on Oct. 19, 2007. He was supposed to testify at the trial, which wrapped up Monday, of alleged killers Matthew Johnston and Cody Haevischer, but his evidence was ruled as inadmissible by the judge. Bacon was living in Abbotsford during the period of the alleged murder plot against Person X. At the time, the Bacon brothers – also including Jonathan and Jarrod – were also the subjects of a murder plot, resulting in a public warning from the B.C. Integrated Gang Task Force. The task force warned that anyone associating with the brothers could be in jeopardy as the trio were targets of a murder plot by rival gangsters. The Bacon family home, which they no longer own, and the street on which it was located – Strathcona Court in east Abbotsford– were placed under video surveillance. Jamie Bacon was the subject of an attempted hit on Jan. 20, 2009 at about 4 p.m. when he was shot at while driving his car in the intersection of South Fraser Way and Sumas Way. Seven men later admitted to conspiring to kill the brothers and received sentences ranging from seven to 14 years. Jonathan Bacon was killed in a targeted shooting in Kelowna in August 2011, and three people are awaiting trial for his murder. Brother Jarrod is currently serving a 14-year sentence on a charge of conspiring to traffic cocaine. Meanwhile, the judge’s verdict in the trial of Johnston and Haevischer is scheduled to be issued Oct. 2 in Vancouver.

The past several days have been scorchers, but temperatures didn’t quite reach record levels, according to Environment Canada. The closest this area came to eclipsing a previously held high temperature was Sunday. Meterologist Allan Coldwells said it reached 33 C on July 13, just 0.3 degree shy of the record, which was set in 1961. Overall, the heat is above normal for the time of year. Usually Abbotsford averages about 24 C, but the mercury rose above 30

More to the ‘moon’ than meets the eye Mark

Other Hand At some 7,000 feet higher than where I’m sitting writing this, with a horizon over the Fraser plateau almost infinite, I watched in wonder as a truly “super moon” rose in the east. I was sitting with my dog on the upper edge of a wildflower-filled meadow on the shoulder of Poison Mountain in the Camelsfoot Range of the southern Chilcotin. I’d left my camp, pitched by a tiny stream a few hundred metres away, to check on my pack and saddle horses free-ranging in the meadow when the moon began its assent. I’m sure I was aware it was to be a full moon, but I certainly didn’t expect its appearance to be so spectacular. At that elevation, with no discernable
pollution for many dozens of miles, the clarity and perceived size of that moon left an impression that remains indelible today. Two other full moons are memorable – the first when I was about 14, rising above the blue hills east of Keremeos, the scent of sage strong in the evening air. The second was a dozen years ago; hanging over the Fraser River as I crossed the Mission Bridge. That orb seemed to fill the entire valley, and inspired me to swing back under the bridge to take in its full glory from the river dike. What brought all those thoughts to mind was the remarkable clarity of Saturday night’s full moon. With friends and family over for dinner, we later watched the moon rise through the firs to the east, and then dominate the skyline. The only sound as earth’s sparkling satellite rose above us was the occasional “wow.” Which brings me to another wow that relates to really tiny “moons” – those of babies. Reading about a Chilliwack fam-
ily who is raising their infant diaper-free, I was struck by the amount of diapers consumed by parents not so inclined to exist in an ever-vigilant state. According to current estimates, infants around the world wearing diapers create some 275,000 to 320,000 tonnes of urine annually. The volume of “number two” was not delineated!

Apparently it takes 300 pounds of wood, 50 pounds of petroleum products and 20 pounds of chlorine to produce one year’s supply of disposable diapers for one baby! Multiply that by thousands of babies on the Lower Mainland, and no wonder Metro sees a ready source of combustibles for its hoped-for incinerator. If you are aghast at the pollution potential of disposables, cloth diapers are also an environmental dilemma, due to the significant energy consumed in machine-washing and drying, along with contributing to water and air contamination. Transport Canada does not classify coal as a dangerous good. Because it’s not. Indeed, the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, whose members work in the closest proximity to coal every day, has stated publicly and unequivocally that there are no health concerns from coal. And so have three other major unions who represent many of the 26,000
men and women who work in B.C.’s coal industry. The coal industry works hard every day to carefully manage our operations so that our employees and the communities in which we live and work, and through which we travel, are kept safe. Loaded trains are sprayed with a binding agent to keep the coal in the railcars. At the terminals, continuous monitoring and water sprays keeps the coal away from nearby communities. And as for any concerns around the tem-
porary rerouting of empty BNSF railcars, Westshore Terminals has recently added a new spray program that ensures every single empty railcar is also sprayed with an additional binding agent before leaving the terminal to make certain that any residual coal from unloading remains in the cars. Occupants of Fern Street residence were asleep Police are investigating after an early morning break and enter which occurred on July 13 (Sunday). The Abbotsford Police Department issued a news release stating that the suspect(s) gained entry into a residence in the 33900 block of Fern Street. The occupants were asleep in the home and did not come into contact with the suspect(s), who left the home with a purse. There are many great ways to serve cherries. They add a great contrasting colour and flavour to green salads, and are also delicious in custards, sorbets, ice cream, fruit salads, and pies. Black Forest Cake is another famous dessert with cherries. You can also try making cherry wine or macerating them in vodka to make your own cherry liqueur. Try searching the Internet or the library and I am sure you will come up with many great recipes for serving and preserving cherries!

Summer is a wonderful time of the year when it comes to the abundance of fresh fruit that is available, and cherries are one of my utmost favourite. I believe that we all have some fond memory from our childhood of eating cherries in the hot summer sun; either raw and fresh by themselves, or in a favorite family dessert. The part of the world where cherries originated is very difficult to pinpoint, as they have supposedly been in existence since prehistoric times. Today however, cherries are found all over the world. Birds love cherries, and so it is believed that due to their migration habits, they were the factor most contributing to the spread of cherries trees. We tend to see and consume only one or two varieties of sweet cherries that are sold in our markets and roadside stands. However, there are many different ones that are cultivated around the world. Cherries are divided into two classifications - sweet cherries and sour cherries. There are over 500 varieties of sweet cherries and over 250 varieties of sour cherries worldwide! Three examples of sweet cherries that would be the most familiar to us would be Gean, Bing, and Bigaroon. Gean cherries are the most common. They are either red or black and very sweet. Bing cherries have skins that are usually not as dark and their flesh is substantially more pale, but they tend to be juicer. Bigaroons are somewhat heart-shaped and their firm flesh can either be red or yellow. When buying cherries, make sure that they are fully ripe. Cherries do not ripen on their own after
harvesting. Also make sure to buy cherries that still have their stems attached. Cherries without stems tend to spoil faster as the stem cavity will expose a part of the inner flesh. Cherries can be kept at room temperature, but as with most fruit, they will always deteriorate more slowly if kept in the refrigerator. Store them in a container or bag away from strong smelling foods, as cherries will tend to easily absorb odours, which will intensely affect their flavour. Cherries can be frozen whole or pitted, but freezing will affect their flavour quality and firmness. Frozen cherries will be best used for cooking. Pitting cherries can be done with either a knife by cutting them in half, or with a cherry/olive pitter. These manual mechanical devices look almost like a pair of hand pliers. One end has a round compartment which holds the cherry or olive, while the other end is equipped with a “spike” that inserts into the flesh to push the pit through the opposite end. Cherries Jubilee is probably the most famous cherry recipe. It is recipe that consists of soaking cherries in a cherry liqueur, cooking them in a sugar syrup, and igniting them with brandy. They are boiled down until the sauce thickens, more cherry liqueur can be added at this point, and then served over ice cream or cake. One of my favorite childhood recipes is one that my Mother made for our family every cherry season. She calls it “cherry soup”. It is whole cherries cooked in a sweet, red, cherry broth with curds made out of ous and a d flour. It may sound odd, but it is very delicious can be served either hot or chilled!

Charges laid for courtroom scuffle

A man who was involved in an altercation with a sheriff at the Abbotsford courthouse in April has now been charged in relation to the incident. Landy Falk, 27, has been charged with causing bodily harm and with taking or attempting to take a weapon from a peace officer. He was also recently charged with breaching his probation for allegedly breaking a no-contact order after being released from prison. The scuffle took place on April 3, when Falk was appearing in Abbotsford provincial court for a sentencing hearing after pleading guilty to assaulting a bus driver. He also pleaded guilty to assaulting his former girlfriend and for uttering threats. The attack on bus driver Dallas Warner occurred on June 25, 2013, when Falk punched Warner repeatedly in the face. Warner had asked Falk to leave his bus because Falk had been verbally abusive to him earlier that day on the same bus. The assault left Warner with permanent hearing loss in his right ear. During the sentencing hearing, Falk was sitting in the prisoner’s dock while the Crown was making his submissions. A few minutes into the proceedings,

the sheriff who was sitting beside the dock stood up and told the judge that Falk had muttered something at him. The judge agreed to adjourn the case for a few minutes and, after she left the courtroom, the sheriff moved into the prisoner’s dock to take Falk back to a holding cell. A tussle soon ensued between the two, resulting in the sheriff pinning Falk down and several other sheriffs bursting into the courtroom to assist. Among those witnessing the scene were Warner, several other bus drivers who had come to support him, and a news reporter. The sheriff involved in the scuffle was taken to hospital with minor injuries, and Abbotsford Police officers were called to the courthouse to investigate the incident. Falk’s sentencing hearing for the bus driver assault concluded on May 15, and he received eight months in prison, followed by two years’ probation. He was given six months’ credit for the time he had already served in custody, leaving two months of his sentence. Falk was released from prison – mandatory release occurs after an inmate has served two-thirds of his sentence – and, on June 26, allegedly breached his probation. He has been remanded in custody, and his next court date is scheduled for July 17.

Don Curtis, sales manager at Magnuson Ford, said they are the main sponsor for the Magnuson Ford Mariners FC, which is a soccer club for all ages from U5 to adult, so hosting this event was quite fitting.

Burke said he’s only a soccer fan and doesn’t play. He is a hockey player though and said, “I noticed the small net is similar to the net we use in hockey, so that probably helped.”
Burke representing (for the day) ‘Team Nigeria’ shot first and his attempt was successful. Needing to score to extend play, Vegt representing ‘Team Columbia’ kicked the soccer ball and was oh-soclose, as it just caught the outside of the post and bounced out.

Four new exhibits open at The Reach July 17 The Reach Gallery Museum Abbotsford (32388 Veterans Way) kicks off four arts and heritage exhibitions with a free public opening reception on Thursday, July 17. It showcases works by 14 artists of Coast Salish ancestry, including Fraser Valley artists Thomas Cannell, Stan Greene and Susan Point. The Ride for Hope cruised through Abbotsford Wednesday, stopping at the Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, Dave Lede Campus of Care, and the London Drugs at West Oaks Mall. Nearly 50 cyclists, including a number of Vancouver Canucks alumni – such as Terry Bingley, Gary Nylund, Jeff Bandura, and Phil Von Steffanelli – started the 200 kilometre adventure, which started in
Hope. Bandura was one of the original riders. “In the first year, there were 16 of us,” he said, “and now it’s grown to this event. This is about giving back to the community. It’s not about what you’ve got, but what you can give.” Abbotsford’s Nigel Thompson was one of this year’s riders. He found out about the event through his bicycle mechanic. “I love to help people, especially kids and I like to ride my bike,” he said. Getting to combine
all his interests made the Ride for Hope a great fit, Thompson said. The journey wended through the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland, eventually landing at the Shops at Morgan Crossing in the South Surrey. The ride was developed to raise awareness and funds for Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, B.C.’ provincial pediatric palliative care provider for newborns, children and teens living with lifethreatening illness and families.

#CIVLssBattle finalists perform The three finalists of #CIVLssBattle take to the Envision Financial Concert in the Park stage this Saturday. The winner of the CIVL Radio Battle of the Bands singer/songwriter competition, John Welsh, will share the stage with Franklyn Currie and Tristan Smith at the Kariton Art Gallery stage in Mill Lake Park (2387 Ware St.) from 6 to 8 p.m. For more than 10 years, Welsh has been performing his eclectic style of music for audiences around Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. He got his start in the college house party scene playing songs to which everyone could sing along. Welsh draws influences from artists such as Ben Harper, Michael Franti, Sam Roberts and Joel Plaskett. His songs are often inspired by his travel experiences and blend elements of folk, surf rock, reggae and Latin. Currie was born and raised in

With temperatures hovering in the mid30s on the weekend, Centennial Pool was an inviting place to be. That was certainly true for the Abbotsford Whalers, at least in terms of results – the local summer swim club hosted its annual home meet, and won the overall team title for the 12th consecutive year. But the scorching conditions, according to Whalers head coach Josh Sandberg, were in fact an obstacle for athletes to overtime. "It's great weather to be attending the meet (as a spectator), but for competitors, when you first hit the water, it gives you a shock," said Sandberg, noting that there was about a 10-degree difference in temperature between the pool deck (35 C) and the water (25 C). "It takes a few strokes or maybe a length to get up to top speed. "It was something that they struggled with, but they still performed very well." Among the top performers for the Whalers was 13-yearold Fallon Quast, who has fashioned an impressive run of dominance in the Div. 4 girls 50-metre butterfly. Last weekend at the Watermania competition in Richmond, Quast set a meet record in the event with a time of 31.1 seconds. She carved more time off at the Whalers' meet en route to another meet record, clocking in at 30.6 seconds. "Right now she's ranked first in the province in the 50 fly, and she keeps knocking off time," Sandberg marveled. The Valley Rebels’ regular season finale served as an apt summary of the team’s fortunes to date. With the clock ticking down and less than four minutes remaining in the third period at MSA Arena on Friday, the local senior B box lacrosse squad held a 5-4 lead over the Ladner Pioneers on the strength of Curtis Callard’s hat trick and singles from Geordie Wells and
Adam Schulstad. Volleyfest coming in August The University of the Fraser Valley athletic department is gearing up to launch Volleyfest, an outdoor volleyball tournament which will run next month at Exhibition Park. Volleyfest is an opportunity for players of many different ages and skill levels to come out and compete. The tourney runs Aug. 30 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will be divided into three coed youth divisions (13/14U, 15/16U and 17/18U) and two coed adult divisions (recreational and competitive). Games will be played
on grass courts with teams of six players per side. The cost per team is $125 before Aug. 1, and $150 thereafter until registration closes on Aug. 27. Registration can be completed online at ufvcascades.ca. UFV Athletics is partnering with the Abbotsford Food Bank and Volleyball BC on the event, and will be donating half of all registration fee revenue to the Food Bank’s All Kids Play Sports fund which helps organize and subsidize sports camps for local children.

The Trinity Western University men’s basketball team has landed a pair of Abbotsford players as part of its 2014 recruiting class. MEI’s Josiah Allison and Yale Secondary’s Patrick Vandervelden are among seven B.C. high school products to sign with the Spartans. Allison, a 6’1” guard, is coming off a terrific season with the Eagles which saw him average 22 points, seven rebounds and four assists per game. He earned team MVP honours in both Grade 11 and Grade 12, and was a first team all-star at Oak Bay’s 2013 Gary Taylor Classic as he helped MEI capture the tournament title. Vandervelden, a 6’9” forward, racked up 16 points, 14 rebounds and an incredible eight blocks per game during his senior year with the Yale Lions, and picked up the top defensive player award at the Terry Fox Legal Beagle tournament.

Janna was born May 12, 1930 in the Netherlands and passed away on July 9, 2014. She married Bill Braber on March 19, 1953. They moved to Canada in 1962 and settled in Abbotsford, BC, along with their 3 children. Their fourth child was born in Abbotsford. Janna is predeceased by her husband Bill. She is survived by her four children Nick (Susan) Braber, Anne (Barry) Penner, Karla (Ron) Riach, Jackie (Jarrod) McAleese, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Janna will be remembered for her devotion to her family, and never ending love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Celebration of Life to be held Thursday July 17th, 1 pm at Gateway Christian Reformed Church, Abbotsford, BC.

John Frances (Jack) 1946 ~ 2014 On Monday, July 7th, a beautiful sunny, summer day, when he should have been on the back 9 of Grand Pines Golf course or throwing a fishing line in at Lester Beach, Jack passed away at Selkirk General Hospital, after a courageous struggle with mesothelioma (asbestos related cancer). Jack will be forever missed by his loving wife of 44 years Pat (nee McBurney): his children David and Tory and John and Rhonda; and his grandchildren, Jesse, Jake and Harriet; his siblings and their families. Family was everything. His wonderful grandchildren were a gift and gave him so much joy. We, his family, cannot imagine life without him and his love. Jack will be sadly missed and will remain forever in our hearts. A Celebration of Jack’s life was held on Friday, July 11th, 2014 at 1:30 at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, (across from Brookside Cemetery). On Tuesday July 8, 2014 after a long and courageous struggle with COPD the Lord in His mercy called Lois Klooster home to be with Him. Born on January 1, 1929 the second of five siblings to Sietse and Geertje Haisma in Donkerbroek Friesland, Nederland she immigrated to Lethbridge where she married Sint Klooster on November 11, 1952. They then moved to Rocky Mountain House, AB and in 1974 to Abbotsford, BC. A devoted wife and much loved mother and grandmother she will be remembered for her gentle care and understanding, her undying faith and her courage in the face of adversity. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Sint in 2003, brother Martin Haisma; granddaughter Rebecca Klooster; and
son-in-law Martin Wikkerink. She will be lovingly missed by her children, son Henry (Carla) of Leduc, AB, daughter Glenda Wikkerink of Leduc, AB and son Sid (Melissa) of Abbotsford, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sisters Jantje (Jane) Veenbaas of Abbotsford, BC, Anneke Wynia of Hamilton, ON and Akke Schapelhouwman of Oostewolde Friesland, numerous nephews and nieces. A family graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 followed by a Memorial Service at 1:30 at Immanual Covenant Reformed Church (URC) located at 35063 Page Rd., Abbotsford, Rev. William Seila William (Bill) Seila Potts, 90, of Abbotsford, passed away peacefully in the presence of his Lord on Sunday, July 6, 2014 with his family by his side. Bill was born in Edmonton, AB on July 26, 1923. He was the youngest of three children born to James and Esther (nee Leggatt) Potts. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mina; children Jim (Coquitlam) and Linda (Abbotsford); grandson Joey (Coquitlam); sister Alice (Edmonton); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, mother, and brother Harry. Bill served in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II. For 25 years he worked for the Federal Corrections Service, retiring in 1985. He enjoyed cycling, officiating ice hockey, and travelling with Mina in their motor home to the Okanagan Valley, Arizona, California, and Nevada. Bill was a man of faith, he will be dearly missed by his family and in their hearts forever. Thank you to the staff of the Bevan Lodge and Abbotsford Regional Hospital for the wonderful palliative care Bill received during his last few weeks of life. A memorial service was held on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the First Memorial Funeral Chapel in Aldergrove, BC, with Reverend Bill Booth officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Children Janice Lynn was born in 1958, Kenneth Allen in 1959, and Carol Anne in 1964. Abe’s commitment to his family was monumental – his children never lacked for anything that really mattered – love, relationship, guidance, and Dad loving on Mom were abundant! The marriage example set by Abe & Jessie is truly that demonstrated by Christ loving the church, and giving Himself up for her. On April 8, 1978, Janice married Ron Born, and they had 4 children; November 18, 1978, Ken married Iris Friesen, and they had 5 children; December 27, 1983, Carol married Paul Dick, and they had 2 children. Abe & Jessie partnered with their children in a family farm, creating an idyllic environment for the grandkids to grow up. Most importantly it gave Abe an influential role in his grandkid’s lives.
Church was always a very important part of Abe’s life; his dedication and commitment to serve the Lord with his whole heart was clearly evident. A passion for people to come to know Jesus was always front and

Abraham H. Falk was born in Abbotsford, BC on July 27, 1936 to Henry and Margaret Falk, and grew up in a Godly, loving, and happy home. Working hard was important, so he took ‘early graduation’ in grade 9 from MEI. Abe gave his life to Jesus at 12 years old, and at 19 was baptized in Stewart Creek in Yarrow. At 17, he worked up the courage to ask Jessie Froese to go roller skating. Courting for a short time, they married on August 11, 1957 at South Abbotsford MB Church.

Abe was never scared to try new things, growing berries of every variety, vegetables, hay, grains, dairy, chickens, hogs, ducks, geese, and more! Over the years, Abe was involved in various businesses, including contracting, marketing, and custom work. Travelling widely, their heart was moved by the people in Cuba, and together with a loving Care Group they supported many families with things we in Canada consider basic needs. As early as 2006, Dad began to notice changes in his balance. In 2010 with rapid advancement of the illness, the Movement Disorder Clinic at UBC diagnosed him with Progressive Supra-nuclear Palsy, for which there is no known cure or treatment. A quick and continued deterioration in his physical health occurred since that time. While his physical health declined, his attitude and love of life definitely did not! He remained positive and happy, teasing Mom and the hospital staff right up until minutes before he passed into the presence of his Lord. Abraham is survived by his wife Jessie, daughter Janice (& Ron Born), son Ken (& Iris), daughter Carol (& Paul Dick), 11 Grandchildren (and their spouses), and 23 great grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers John (& Hilda), Peter (& Sandra), Ben (and Pat), sisters Erna (& Walter Janzen), Marge (& Mel Weick), and Ev (& George Falk, deceased) Abraham is predeceased by his parents Henry & Margaret Falk, his sister Elsie, and his youngest brother George. A celebration of Abe’s life will be held at South Abbotsford MB Church, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday July 16, 2014. Interment services for family and closest friends will be held at the South Poplar Cemetery at 9:00 AM on the same day. A viewing will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Abbotsford on Tuesday July 15 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM for friends and family, and from 8:00 to 9:00 PM for immediate family only. Donations may be made to Multi-Nation Missions Foundation in support of work done in partnership with the La Fe Apostolica Church in Mantanzas, Cuba.
