A man who operated an illegal dental practice out of his former Burnaby home has pleaded guilty to one count of tax evasion, says the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Tung Sheng “David” Wu was sentenced Wednesday in Vancouver Provincial Court to $33,000 in fines. Wu spent months on the lam last year after the College of Dental Surgeons of B.C. (CDSBC) received a tip from the public he had been operating a makeshift illegal dental office out of his rented house on Southwood Street. This was despite a lack of qualifications and a 2003 court order banning him from practising dentistry. The investigation sparked a warning to all his clients to be tested for bloodborne diseases after it was found Wu had been working in dirty conditions without adequate infection control systems. In November, Wu turned himself in to Toronto police and was returned to the Lower Mainland to serve his three-month sentence for contempt of court. see FaILed to rePort, a5

South Burnaby Sikh temple for sale Rav Rampuri and Leonardo Di Francesco’s current listings include one of the largest such properties around. The Shri Guru Ravidass Sabha Sikh temple and community centre at 7271 Gilley Ave. is for sale. The asking price is just under $14 million. While the land could be redeveloped into a commercial project under the current zoning or an industrial one under Burnaby’s official community plan, the rarity of church properties makes it more valuable as a place of worship, Rampuri said. It has a 19,000-square-foot building including a full commercial kitchen that sits on a 65,000-squarefoot lot with 110 parking spaces. The hall can hold about 500 people. Located at the corner of Gilley and Beresford Street, for years it’s been the start and end point for the annual Nagar Kirtan Parade. The two realtors helped the congregation sell their previous home, a little 5,000-square-foot building on Edmonds Street, about 13 years ago and got the call again. The congregation is now at 2,700 members and they’ve outgrown their current facility, Rampuri explained. Its members plan to buy a parcel of industrial land elsewhere in Burnaby where they can build a bigger temple. But first they have to sell their Gilley property. “It’s very rare to find sites this large,” Di Francesco noted. Rampuri said a new owner could build a second storey on the existing building and, if parking was moved underground, even more floor space could be built. The congregation could move elsewhere while it builds a new home, he said, stressing the possession date doesn’t depend on having a new temple in place. “If the price is right, three to four months.” The business partners also have another Burnaby church property for sale—Hindu Temple Burnaby at 3885 Albert St. near Ingleton Avenue in North Burnaby. The asking price there is just under $2 million. For that, a buyer would get a 9,500-square-foot, threestorey building, again with a commercial kitchen. This congregation has also outgrown its facility and is currently constructing a bigger temple on Marine Drive in South Burnaby. The properties have seen a lot of interest but the right buyers have not yet materialized. “We’ve got patience,” Rampuri said. “It’s a process we’ve mastered by our experience over the years.”

Willingdon urban trail may be in the works HOV aspect of original plan likely not in cards: city Wanda Chow

wchow@burnabynewsleader.com

A proposed urban trail on Willingdon Avenue could become a reality whether it links to a new community centre or not, say city officials. The path for pedestrians and cyclists has been cited as a possible connection for Brentwood residents to a community centre next to Eileen Dailly pool. Burnaby Coun. Sav Dhaliwal, chair of the parks commission, said some sort of recreation facility is still likely at the site of the former Burnaby Heights Resource Centre. But instead of one large centre there the city is looking at two smaller ones. The second one would ideally be located closer to the major redevelopments happening at Willingdon and Lougheed Highway near Brentwood mall. Either way, the urban trail still has a good chance of happening, said Stuart Ramsey, Burnaby’s manager of transportation planning. But the original plan to build an HOV lane next to it? Not so much. Leif Bjorseth of Burnaby’s engineering department explained that 10 to 15 years

ago, the city came up with a longterm plan to widen Willingdon and put in a highoccupancy-vehicle lane. The idea was it could help convince TransLink to bring express buses up and down Willingdon. Starting in 2000, the city bought properties on the east side of Willingdon as they came up for sale. The city now owns all the properties on that stretch between Lougheed and Hastings Street and has demolished all but two or three of the homes on them. In 2008, the city developed a concept that included the HOV lane plus a four-metre-wide urban trail. That concept was brought to a public meeting. “There was quite a strong reaction from the public, they didn’t want this,” Bjorseth recalled. Area residents raised concerns the plan would worsen the problem of rat-running traffic and were worried about the lack of safe places to cross Willingdon. City staff revised the plan to try and address the issues but ended up shelving it because it wasn’t a big priority, he said. It was decided to review the idea as part of an update of the city’s overall transportation plan. That update will include a public process but likely won’t start until later this year, said

Ramsey. It’s expected to take two years to complete. One thing they do know is that much has changed since the current plan was developed 20 years ago. And HOV lanes are no longer likely to get council approval. “Council is generally not a big fan of road expansion in general,” Ramsey said, noting it took “quite a strong position” against the province’s Highway 1 expansion project. “We’re developing new ideas for how we might use that corridor and certainly I think that making it a better corridor for pedestrians and cyclists is more the direction that we’re heading in now.” Even without a community centre in the Heights, there is still “quite a nexus” of civic amenities there including the pool, McGill library, seniors centre, Confederation Park and the Heights commercial district itself. “In my view, it makes sense in any event to build a more walkable city, a more bikeable city, and to enhance that connection.” As for the express bus idea, Ramsey pointed out there is less traffic on Willingdon the further north you go. So the lack of HOV lanes on that section would not prevent the buses from being implemented.

After CDSBC discovered some of Wu’s financial records during its investigation, the courts gave it permission to contact CRA. The CRA investigation determined that for the taxation years 2009 through 2012, Wu failed to report a total of $237,600 in income from the illegal dental practice.

The figures were calculated using Wu’s patient charts which included the amounts charged and paid. In addition to the fines, Wu must also file the tax returns in question and pay the full amount of taxes owing, plus interest, said CRA. He was also ordered by the courts to pay the CDSBC’s costs of investigating and

OPINION NEWSLEADER’S VIEW:

PUBLISHED & PRINTED BY BLACK PRESS LTD. at 7438 Fraser Park Drive, Burnaby, B.C. V5J 5B9

PHOTO OF THE WEEK: Last month’s snow was inspiring for many local amateur photographers, who got out to capture unique and beautiful scenes around town. Janet Kvammen of Burnaby shot this on Burnaby Mountain.

Keep seniors mobile The last 60 years of transportation design have been about getting young, mobile people to work. Now may be the time to find a way to make transportation safer and more usable for seniors. Before, no one cared about washrooms at SkyTrain stations, truly accessible bus stops and buses or other services that would make it easier for older people to give up the car and take transit. Before, nobody worried that our street lighting, signage, even our drivers’ licence system was inadequate for use by older people whose eyesight may be failing, whose reflexes are slow but who may still have a clean driving record. Before, no one cared that suburban living doesn’t support seniors, who may become isolated at home and dependent on government or volunteer services to get around. Now, though, as the grey tsunami begins to overwhelm public resources, it may be time to care. The evidence is clear that transportation is inadequate for vulnerable, less mobile people. HandyDart is overwhelmed by people who need door-to-door service, so it’s time to take another look at how this service is used. Last year, there were 42,418 service denials and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. It’s time to take another look at how service to the most vulnerable is delivered. The evidence is also clear that our driver’s licence system is inadequate for older drivers. Although most stay off the road in risky periods, studies find the crash rate for people 70 and older older is similar to the crash rate of new drivers (those ages 16 to 24). It’s time to take another look at how our drivers licence system works. And it’s also time to look at how our transit system works for seniors, so we can keep our moms and dads safe, secure and healthy, and so it will be ready for us one day. —Tri City News/Black Press

Groundhog may be right about winter I’ve never put much stock in the “predictions” of six more weeks of winter, based on whether or not a groundhog in Ontario or Pennsylvania sees his or her shadow. However, maybe those little creatures are right (at least for this year). Winter is holding on with a vengeance, not just in the B.C. Lower Mainland but in most other parts of North America. Cold, snow, ice and blizzards in the most unlikely places, such as Georgia and North Carolina, continue. Out here in Langley, we’ve had two weekends in a row with snow, after months of our more usual green winter. Temperatures have also been cool for much of 2014, and there has been less rain than usual, which was most welcome. But with snow in late February and early March, spring is definitely on hold for the moment. Daffodils will not be bursting

Frank Bucholtz into flower any time soon. How many people are actually thinking about cutting their lawns? Not many, I suspect. Yet many people often give their lawns the first cutting of the year in mid-March. Perhaps the weather will improve and they will get that chance, but at this juncture, that seems unlikely. This Saturday night, we will make the switch to daylight saving time, to allow for more evening light. Yet will that extra hour of daylight in the evening hours be used for outdoor activities if the snow returns, or if temperatures remain low?

7438 Fraser Park Dr., Burnaby, B.C. V5J 5B9 newsroom@burnabynewsleader.com burnabynewsleader.com | newwestnewsleader.com

We in B.C. are pretty spoiled when it comes to weather, especially when compared with the rest of the country. Our winters are shorter and much milder than what is experienced on the Prairies and in Eastern Canada. But we still live a long ways north of the equator, and we get much of our weather from the Pacific Ocean, including the North Pacific, where it is very cold. We should not be surprised when we get extended cold weather or occasional snowfalls. Yet such weather is much more acceptable in December and January than it is in March. We want to have warmer temperatures, to see flowers starting to come out and to have the anticipation of warmer weather for months to come. Thus far, that is not happening. While some people say the cold weather that has taken place across much of North America puts the lie to any claims about

global warming, I’m not sure I would go that far. At the same time, I’m not sure that any scientific model can correctly predict what future temperatures will be. History shows us there are ebbs and flows in climate, and there are also long-term trends toward warming and cooling which have happened on numerous occasions in the past. No matter what you think about global warming or the lack thereof, we do need to be concerned about carbon emissions, if only because too much carbon dioxide has been shown to have a damaging effect on the upper atmosphere. One thing is for sure. Groundhog Day predictions of six more weeks of winter proved to be uncannily accurate this year—even here in balmy B.C.

LIVING IN FREE WORLD Re: Brentwood critics playing politics: Mayor (NewsLeader, Feb. 28) I’m a believer in speaking for myself, rather then having others speak for me. I want to get my ideas out there, whether anyone thinks they’re good or bad. My conscience rests well with the fact I’ve put my own thoughts on the line, and take full responsibility. I’m aware that I should not tread on the rights of anyone else. That my thinking may align with those of another person is luck as far as I am concerned,

because often it doesn’t. I never take a poll before I speak. I don’t ask his or her political affiliation, religious preference, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender. My goal is not to make or discourage new friendships. My goal is to speak my truth. I moved to Burnaby two years ago, never for one minute imagining speaking at city committees or council meetings. That was never an aspiration. Still isn’t. I do it for a clear reason: I can. I have watched neighbours and other concerned citizens sit at the microphone in council chambers, trying to get out what they think, hope or fear. I see how hard it is for many to do this. I notice how easy it would be to knock an individual off balance. I don’t like that. I speak and write because I live in the free world. I cherish this and engage when I feel I can do some good. I like to use my intellect and my voice; I aim to be fearless. I feel I am obligated to participate. That is what one can do with one’s privilege to live, think, write and believe freely. The good thing is, if I believe this for myself, I believe it for you too. Cherie Moses Burnaby

We asked if they could tell us what kind of noise, air, and light pollution they were projecting, as well as what is the allowable levels based on what the Vancouver Port Authority and the City of Burnaby are permitting. However they can’t get any info on the site because there is a covenant they can’t seem to confirm. It seems amazing that Kinder Morgan would let this impede their studies of this area unless they’re not interested. Kinder Morgan doesn’t seem concerned their number one route choice would completely enclose an area of 120 homes with their pipelines, even though they have consistently promoted their objective to build the proposed new pipeline safely “while minimizing impacts to neighbours.” The Cliff Avenue route also goes through the Burrard Inlet Conservation Area. North Westridge has only one exit/entrance, complicating construction and safety requirements which seems to be a risk Kinder Morgan is willing to take. We asked if the location of the Westridge Terminal could be located further east, further away from our neighbourhood to ease noise and light pollution. Instead they moved it west, closer. This allows them to continue loading tankers during

It happened just after the last flood. TThe winter beat records for snowfall, and serious springtime saw seriou flooding. Basements filled, streets were running with water, and cars were left to float and sink. One day, I walked past a junk yard and saw, what I thought, was a relatively r normal car.

the vehicle could get a person from A to B. Suddenly, I had an idea. Since the car looked fine on the outside, no one had to know its real history. I was a genius. After a night in the garage with a heater and a little scrubbing, I posted an ad on Craigslist: “2004 black Toyota Corolla for sale. No longer need, bought new car. No room in garage – need to sell ASAP!!! Few scratches, otherwise in great condition. Call cell and we’ll talk price.” Thirty minutes later I got a call from a sixteen-year old kid – a little younger than my son. We decided to meet at the local mall at about 6:00. I wonder if his parents knew what he was up to. I arrived at 6:20, telling him I was in a great rush as I had to pick my son up from soccer practice. Turns out he played, too. After some soccer gossip, we got down to business. I knew that a kid his age just wanted a ride to show off to his friends, so we spent little time on the details. I told him the car was in perfect condition and was never in any accidents. “No problems as far as I know,” I said. The kid was sold. He trusted me. I never gave him my full name, and he never gave me his. He gave me the cash, I gave him the car. All was good. I was on my way. A few days later, I saw a TV program that talked about flood damaged vehicles. Apparently, flooding can damage the computer systems, which control things like the brakes and steering. And flood vehicles can’t be registered or insured. Who knew? My mind immediately went to the kid I sold the vehicle to. I felt a twinge of guilt. Then my eyes darted to my stash of cash. Two weeks later, I had another car up for sale. Stay tuned!

I still rremember my first rs time. It was so easy. eas So thrilling. And I walked away with a couple of thousand thousa bucks in my pocket. Not bad for pocket a few hours’ hou work. What’s it doing here? he I thought. Apart from a couple coup of scratches on the outside ou and some moist seats, sea the vehicle seemed roadworthy. road I immediately asked about the car. I was told that th it was found full of fl ood w water. flood Its previous owner wanted nothing to do with it. I bought the car for fo a couple hundred dollars. do I didn’t even have to register it in my name. n Originally, I had no n intention of doing what I did. I wanted to sell the car for parts. But, the engine still worked worke and

Welcome to the driver’s seat

The new GLA is a practical small SUV perfect for young families or couples that want the same underlying goodness that is in the CLA but with standard all wheel drive and ease of use. Zack Spencer

Luxury wheels at just the light price MALAGA, SPAIN - It might be winter here but it’s always nice to look forward to warmer days, filled with sun and clear roads. To get a sneak peek at what better weather looks and feels like, plus get a chance to drive the all new Mercedes GLA250 and GLA 45 AMG, the advanced drive program was held in Malaga, Spain. The GLA is built of the same platform as the hot, new CLA sedan that arrived last fall. Developing it into a taller, more practical small SUV is perfect for young families or couples that want the same underlying goodness that is in the CLA but with standard all wheel drive (AWD) and ease of use. Pricing has not been confirmed but when it arrives this fall, expect the same aggressive pricing that the CLA delivers. That car starts at $33,900 but with AWD comes up to $36,800. Looks This new GLA is not as tall as the B-Class, which also shares the same platform, and not nearly as low-slung as the CLA. The GLA has a less aggressive front grille

Drive The base GLA 250 comes with a 2.0L turbocharged direct injection 4-cylinder with a healthy 208hp and 258 lb.-ft. of torque, the same as the B-Class and base CLA. There is plenty of acceleration and cruising on the highway is effortless.

March 25 – 30

Vancouver Convention Centre

Driving through the mountain canyons back from Granada to Malaga was a real treat. The countryside is rustic and beautiful and the twisty roads sublime. The base GLA never set a wheel wrong and the 7-speed duel-clutch automatic can be left in economy, sport or manual for each driving situation. All GLA models come with standard AWD and this system can detach the rear wheels and drive in FWD for better economy but switches seamlessly back when more traction or cornering capability is required, plus Dynamic Cornering Assist applies just a small amount of brake force to the inside wheel when cornering to aid in the process. The 45 AMG takes things to a completely new level. The 2.0L 4-cylinder is hand assembled and pumps out a whopping 355hp and 332 lb.-ft. of torque. The 7-speed transmission and AWD system have been adapted by AMG to deliver a go-cart like drive that is so reassuring and potent that it makes the driver look and feel fantastic. Cornering is effortless and the bigger wheels and lowered suspension give great feedback but it is not jarring. Verdict Mercedes Benz is enabling more people to access its brand with smaller less expensive vehicles. The new GLA 250 and GLA 45 AMG are certainly very attractive, powerful and fun vehicles to drive. Coun. Sav Dhaliwal I hope by this fall we’ll have a good idea of what’s going to be built and where for the next five to 10 years.

Any new community centre to serve Brentwood residents is likely at least five years away. That’s according to Burnaby Coun. Sav Dhaliwal, chair of the city’s parks and rec commission. The challenge isn’t money. There should be ample funds coming from developers in return for being awarded bonus density in their projects. In fact, when all four phases of Appia Development’s SOLO District are completed, it will have contributed $32 million in community amenities, including $30 million in cash. That’s in addition to the millions expected to come from Shape Properties’ redevelopment of Brentwood mall. When it comes to a Brentwood community centre, the challenge will be finding a place to put it. Dhaliwal explained that Burnaby’s original longterm plan was to build a large community centre similar to Metrotown’s Bonsor at the former site of the Burnaby Heights Resource Centre, next to Eileen Dailly pool. “But lately over the last four to five years, things have changed considerably in terms of where the population is going to be.” That is, the recent development boom at the intersection of Willingdon Avenue and Lougheed Highway now has the city expecting upwards of 40,000 people moving into that area over the next 30 years or so, he said. Now Confederation Park seems rather far for people to go for their recreation activities. And even the smaller satellite facility—a redevelopment of the existing Willingdon Community Centre—planned for Willingdon Heights park at Gilmore Avenue and Douglas Road seems a too much of a trek. It would be a quick trip by car, he noted, but likely too far for people

to walk as the city is encouraging people to do in an area that’s already choked with commuter traffic. The city is now leaning towards building two smaller facilities, one next to Eileen Dailly pool and the other closer to Brentwood mall. As for where the latter could go, Dhaliwal said one possibility is on what is currently Dragonwood Industrial Park south of Lougheed. Concord Pacific Holdings Ltd. has a deal to purchase the 26-acre property on condition it gets rezoning approval. Last year, it proposed a redevelopment for a multi-family project that would include commercial space, a park and a school site. Other future development sites in the area, such as the Carter GM dealership, could also yield land for a community centre, he said. The only thing that’s sure is a location is up in the air. “I hope by this fall we’ll have a good idea of what’s going to be built and where for the next five to 10 years,” Dhaliwal said. But nothing will happen overnight. The city knew what it was going to build a new Edmonds Community Centre in 2006 but it didn’t open until 2013, he noted. He envisions a facility at 250 Willingdon next to Eileen Dailly pool being built first, perhaps connected to Brentwood via an urban trail up Willingdon. The second centre would come some time after that for reasons of location and budget. Such community facilities require a lot of staffing, with 50 new staff at Edmonds alone, he said. To avoid massive tax increases to fund their operations, they need to be brought in at least five years apart.

Stone cautious on tolling new Pattullo New Westminster backs four-lane replacement— if it’s tolled Jeff Nagel Black Press

Transportation Minister Todd Stone says the City of New Westminster’s call for tolls on a rebuilt Pattullo Bridge may be problematic. New Westminster council came out Wednesday morning in favour of replacing the aging bridge with a new four-lane replacement – but only if it’s tolled to help control traffic volumes. The minister was asked if that would violate the province’s promise when it built the new tolled Port Mann Bridge that the Pattullo would act as the free alternative. “If it was to be tolled, that would seem to be contradictory to the provincial tolling policy, which does provide for a free alternative to new tolled structures,” Stone told reporters in Victoria. Stone has committed to review the government’s tolling policy and it’s not yet clear if that might open up options for universal bridge tolling advanced by some Metro mayors. He said the province is urging the federal government

to contribute to the Pattullo replacement – arguing it’s of national significance due to its role in goods movement – but added tolls could be a roadblock. “The feds have not tended to invest in projects that end up having tolls on them.” Stone was non-committal on whether he backs New Westminster’s preference for a $850-million four-lane Pattullo, Surrey’s call for a $1.2-billion sixlane replacement or a refurbished existing Pattullo. He said he expects Metro

Vancouver mayors to make a Pattullo replacement recommendation to him as part of the regional transportation plan they are working on to underpin a referendum on new TransLink taxes. “The City of New Westminster really has to come to the table with a clear plan on what they intend to do to decongest their own road network,” Stone added. “There’s no point in building a new structure that would then just take motorists into a wall on the New Westminster side.”

GVHBA taking the stress out of buying a new home By Kerry Vital

Buying a home, especially if it’s for the first time, can be an extremely stressful experience. There are many decisions that need to be made, and roadblocks can easily appear. The Greater Vancouver Home Builders’ Association is aiming to help first-time home buyers with their 20th Annual Seminar for First-Time Home Buyers. Taking place on March 11 at the Bell Performing Arts

Centre in Surrey, this year’s event aims to demystify the buying process. “With interest rates still incredibly low and builders offering many new-home product choices, this is a great time for first-time buyers to consider taking that critical first step onto the property ladder,” says GVHBA CEO Bob de Wit. “Real estate continues to be a hot topic in Metro Vancouver, and (the) GVHBA is at the forefront of connecting the residential construction industry with consumers. Seminar attendance is

NEW HOME DEVELOPMENT

expected to be as many, or greater than, the 750 people who attending last year’s event.” Among the speakers this year are Robyn Adamache, senior market analyst at the Canada Mortgage & Housing Corp., Bill Macklem, president of Dominion Macklem Mortgages and Sandra Wyant, president-elect of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver, among many others. The topics will include legal considerations, mortgages and warranties, along with several others. “This is a one-stop information shop for first-time home buyers, so anyone considering buying a home should come to this free seminar,” says de Wit. The exhibit area featuring new-home builders and homerelated products and services will be open between 6 and 7 p.m., while the seminar will take place between 7 and 9 p.m. The seminar is free, though attendees are asked to bring a food item for the Surrey Food Bank. Pre-registration is required. Register online at www.gvhba. org or call 778-565-4288.

Bluetree Homes at Citadel Heights features Craftsman-style architecture, spacious four- and five-bedroom floorplans and open layouts. Among the gourmet kitchen features, above right, are stainless-steel appliances, quartz composite stone countertops and a ceramic tile backsplash.

Best of both worlds with Bluetree Homes at Citadel Heights By Kerry Vital

Bluetree Homes is rising to the top with Citadel Heights, its popular single-family community in Port Coquitlam that offers not only beautiful, move-in ready homes but an established mature neighbourhood and convenient access to the rest of the

Lower Mainland as well. Bluetree comes from noted builder ParkLane Homes with a well-established reputation for building quality, and this tradition continues at Citadel Heights. “Citadel is quite a hidden gem,” says sales manager Dana de Boer. “Homeowners get views of the Fraser River and Mount Baker, and that view factor has been a huge draw.” Over 50 per cent of the 29 homes at Citadel Heights have already been sold. Part of the appeal is the spacious four- and five-bedroom floorplans, ranging from 2,800 to 3,577 square feet. “All of our homes include a fully finished basement, which is something that people enjoy,” says de Boer. “You can choose a fully contained suite for in-laws, returning children

or simply as a mortgage helper.” There’s plenty of curb appeal at Citadel Heights due to the Craftsman-style architecture and gorgeous landscaping. Every home has its own private yard as well as a spacious front porch, deck and patio. Engineered hardwood is included throughout the main floor, with lush carpeting on the upper floor. A gas fireplace in the living room with its contemporary quartz composite stone surround and custom-designed mantel is sure to be a showpiece, or just the perfect place to relax. Three different designer colour schemes are available, giving you a chance to personalize your home to suit your tastes. The kitchen holds everything an aspiring chef needs, from stainless-steel appliances to

shaker-style cabinetry to quartz composite stone countertops and a kitchen island. A ceramic tile backsplash complements the countertops. The spa-inspired bathrooms feature hand-set porcelain tile flooring and quartz composite stone countertops. The ensuite holds an acrylic tub and shower with decorative ceramic and glass accent tile, while the main bath features an acrylic alcove tub with ceramic tile surround. The cabinetry depends on the colour scheme chosen for the home, with a choice of either contemporary flat-panel or elegant shaker-style. The location is also a big draw. Citadel Heights is perfectly situated, with shopping, dining, transit, schools and recreation very close by. You’ll also have easy access to the rest of the Lower Mainland via Lougheed Highway or Highway 1, giving you the best of both worlds: a quiet neighbourhood within easy reach of every amenity you can imagine. “It’s very convenient for commuters,” says de Boer. “Or really, for anyone who needs to go places.” A large variety of floorplans are still available, starting at $789,900. For more information, check out www.bluetreehomes. ca/citadel, call 604-468-2169 or visit the sales centre at 2195 Nova Scotia Ave., Port Coquitlam, open daily (except Friday) between noon and 5 p.m.
