magine a multi-use transportation pathway linking Kelowna to Vernon, passing by 25 kilometres of lakefront and through 23 parks. It’s a vision that could become a reality if the CN Rail line between Kelowna and Coldstream is no longer operated as a railway and if government can come forward to purchase the line.

CN is in the process of abandoning the railway and one Okanagan group is pushing for it to be turned into a rail trail. We will know more in a couple of days as the abandonment process continues and a June 2 deadline looms.
