Cancer is a dreadful disease without the added burden of the expense of dressings often required. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CHARGE TO THE PATIENT. All that is required is a doctor’s referral. By supporting our Stamp Project, attending bazaars and teas, the Cabaret Night or buying tickets on our annual Cancer Draw, you enable us to continue our efforts in the fight against cancer. We’ve had a Polar Swim each February since 2005, first at Transfer Beach in Ladysmith and starting this year, at Departure Bay in Nanaimo. Thanks to pledges/donations, the members willing to brave the chilly water, have raised over $50,000.00 for Cancer Projects.
