Mero and Comeau trial set Robert Mike Mero and Kale Raymond Comeau’s trial has been slated. The two men, charged in connection with a shooting, will stand trial Sept. 8. Comeau and Mero are charged with discharging a firearm with intent to endanger life and pointing a firearm and breaching in relation to a June 2 shooting incident in the 400 block of Hartley Street. The rounds did not strike anyone, but penetrated a window and siding of a residence. The following day members of the Quesnel RCMP executed a search warrant in connection to the shooting. Shortly after noon on that Sunday, the warrant to search was executed on a Red Bluff Road property which resulted in the seizure of a quantity of cocaine, heroin and two prohibited weapons.
