A Salmon Arm police officer might face charges in connection with the death of a cherryville woman in the Salmon Arm Industrial Park in June. The Independent Investigations Office (IIO), which investigates deaths or serious injuries that are potentially police related, has forwarded a report to crown counsel regarding the car crash that killed 21-year-old courtenay Brianne eggen on June 21 of this year. Two men and a woman from Alberta have been charged in connection with the alleged murder of a Salmon Arm man last seen at a Barrhead, Alta. gas station on July 17. The body of 45-yearold Valentine (Val) degenhardt has yet to be recovered, but RcMP

investigators now believe they know where to search for his remains. On Saturday, edmonton Major crimes unit investigators arrested two men and one woman in relation to the disappearance of degenhardt, who had been reported missing by his wife on July 19.
