Society will host the 2014 Canadian Wheelchair Basketball League Women’s Championship April 25 to 27, 2014 at the Richmond Olympic Oval. “We are very excited for BC to host the 2014 Canadian Wheelchair Basketball League women’s finals, which promises to be the one of the best women’s tournaments ever,” said Wheelchair Basketball Canada executive director Wendy Gittens. “All of the top club teams in the country will be assembled to showcase the women’s game. It’s a great opportunity for people to catch a glimpse at some of the top female athletes in the country and experience the ongoing growth of the sport as excitement builds toward the 2014 Women’s World Wheelchair Basketball Championship, which will be the largest women’s wheelchair basketball event in history.”
