DIG IT — Grade 5, 6 and 7 students from Canyon-Lister Elementary School spent some time on Sept. 24 volunteering for the Harvest Share program by
digging potatoes at Drew and Joanne Gailius’s Full Circle Farm. Run by the Creston Valley Food Action Coalition, Harvest Share collects produce that would otherwise go to waste and donates it to local agencies, including the Creston Valley Gleaners Society food bank.
Changes coming for medical pot BY LORNE ECKERSLEY Advance Staff

“The current system is being abused by criminal organizations,” said Gollan. He said that people with medical marijuana prescriptions are being recruited, as are doctors who will issue the prescriptions. See MARIJUANA, page 3

Council delays rezoning of brewery property On the recommendation of municipal services co-ordinator Ross Beddoes, council agreed to allow staff more time to provide more information. At a public hearing at the Sept. 24 regular meeting, council learned that some neigh-
