Coffee has become big business across North America in the last 20 years, as the popularity of the drink—especially in the form of lattes—has grown. But a few coffee bean roasters in Kelowna say there’s much more to coffee than a drink fortified with milk. Like winemakers do with grapes, they are pulling unique flavours from the coffee bean and want to educate the palettes of coffee drinkers here so they will appreciate the seemingly simple espresso.
