Businesses in Lake Country will be putting their best foot forward this weekend as Small Shop Saturday arrives in the area. The Lake Country Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Lake Country Calendar in presenting a unique opportunity for the business community and all residents and visitors to Lake Country. Lake Country stores will be showcasing their businesses, offering promotions and special deals throughout the district this Saturday, Sept. 28. It’s a way of promoting the local business to neighbouring communities of Lake Country but also to local residents who may leave Lake Country to do their shopping elsewhere. “We’re really hoping to get people to be aware of the products and services available in Lake Country,” said Corrinne Cross, Lake Country Chamber of Commerce manager. “It’s designed to make people aware of the local businesses and what they carry so the next time they are thinking about it they will shop local.
