2.5 hrs includes 1.5hrs of floor hockey, indoor soccer, or roller skating and appropriate sports equipment. We supply a party coordinator to setup, decorate, and clean up. A hot dog, juice, and fries for each person will be served in the warm room/curling lounge. Insurance required. Supervision of all children is responsibility of parent.

Cost: $21.00 per person.

3.5 hours includes public skate, skate rental, hot dog, juice, and fries for each person. Use of curling lounge/meeting room will be provided. You set up, decorate and clean up. Insurance required.

Cowichan Lake Recreation Registration

Cowichan Lake Recreation offers three easy methods for program registration: in person; by telephone or by email. Space is filled on a first come/first serve basis.

Payment is required at the time of registration so please “Pay before you Play”.

Please note: All programs are subject to price, time and location changes.

Every effort will be made to notify you of any changes.All programs and admission fees include applicable taxes. Non-Sufficient Funds: An administration fee of $5 will be charged on all NSF payments.

In Person Stop by the Cowichan Lake Sports Arena or the Youbou Hall during office hours and our friendly staff will be happy to process your request. Payment by cash, debit card, VISA, and MasterCard and cheques are accepted. (Note: cheques will not be accepted for certification programs if there is not sufficient time for the cheque to clear the bank).

Statutory Holiday Policy

Programs are not scheduled for Stat Holidays. Every effort will be made to schedule around such occurrences.

Registration Policies and Guidelines Uh-oh, we had to cancel:

Regrettably, if a minimum number of registrants are not met, we may have to cancel or combine classes due to insufficient registration. These decisions are made prior to the course start date. Please register early to avoid disappointment. A 100% refund is granted when we cancel a program. When a class has been cancelled due to instructor illness or weather conditions, a class will be added on at the end of the session. If this is not possible, a credit will be placed on your account in the amount of the class missed.

If a program is full please ask staff to put your name on our waitlist, staff review these lists continually and we will do our best to accommodate those waitlisted.

Customer Satisfaction:

We care about your experience in our programs. Please contact our Programmer directly to discuss any questions, comments or concerns that you have with our recreation programs.

Extended Illness / Injury:

In cases of extended illness or injury, a prorated refund or credit may be granted upon provision of a medical note.

Missed Classes:

Classes missed due to sickness, vacation, or other reasons will not be refunded or credited.

Oops, changed your plans?

A credit in the form of a gift card or a refund will be issued if we receive withdrawal notification 1 week prior to the course start date. If less than 1 week’s notice is given, no refund or credit will be issued. In the case of week-long camps we require notification 2 weeks in advance of program start date. There may be other exceptions to these guidelines. In some cases, these exceptions will be noted in the individual course description.

Families living in the Cowichan Lake area are eligible to apply for the Recreation Assistance Program if your combined family income is at or below the Statistics Canada Low Income Threshold. A maximum $125 Program Credit per person per year. This credit can be used towards registration or punch passes for programs in the Cowichan Lake Recreation Program Guide (Playbook). The Lower Hall has homemade goods and the Upper Hall is for the lunch fund raiser and vendors who sell homemade goods as well as second hand or home party show items. Book a table early; this event has a tendency to sell out! Vendors set up between 8:30 – 10:00 am.
