A Day in the Life of Oak Bay, photographed June 13, 2013 We are pleased once again to present our annual, award-winning, photographic tribute to life in Oak Bay. Our team of photographers covered every corner of the municipality on a summer-like June day, capturing people at work, play and engaged in various activities in between. Capturing a day in the life of Oak Bay, where the living is pleasant and opportunities to enjoy our natural surroundings

abound is truly one of the best days of the year for our staff. We’d also like to thank those of you who are pictured in this edition for allowing us to offer you as an example of life in Oak Bay. We appreciate it. Enjoy the read and all of your days in Oak Bay. – Laura Lavin editor, Oak Bay News

Every day the experts at Barclay’s are working with clients to restore, add to, or create. Restore, a favourite piece to a like-new condition. Make an addition to, something treasured. Create, a new memory with something new from in-store or something from your imagination and our expertise.

Stay Sun Safe

Re-apply sunscreen often – at least every 2 hours: a teaspoon of SPF 30 sunscreen for your face and neck, and a shot glass amount for your body.

Ingredients matter. Avoid sunscreen with oxybenzone, a synthetic estrogen. Look for ingredients like zinc oxide, avobenzone and Mexoryl SX.
