Residents pipe up for Marina Garden The final buildout plan for Marina Garden Estates in Ladner has generated some heated opposition, but some current residents say the concerns are unfounded. Polygon has increased park space to 3.48 hectares from 1.52 hectares, increased parking by 25 per cent above Delta’s required bylaws, reduced the number of apartment buildings to just one and lowered the height to four storeys, and a traffic study confirmed there will be a 17 per cent reduction in traffic flow with the removal of the hotel. ❙ See story, P.3
Police look for suspect in assaults Delta Police are asking for the public’s assistance to help identify an unknown suspect responsible for a series of sexual assaults in Tsawwassen. In all cases, the suspect has run up behind unknowing females and either grabbed their buttocks, or has bearhugged them around their waist and their breasts.
