brendablatz@telus.net

I still have my home business for some things, I now work full time at the new Real Canadian Superstore in the Photo Lab and Studio. It's quite a change for me to be full time and having a few bosses, but I find that at the end of the day I have a feeling of accomplishment and a job well done. I find myself working in various sections of the store and I find the gro-

cery department quite interesting. You might also see me as a cashier when it's busy, so be patient, we've got some strange vegetables. I also started Send Out Cards as a little evening advertising business. Thanks ladies for the ones I took this year, it was great! So come on down to the Superstore and visit our lab. We have alot of 10 cent deals on photos.

LIZA DORÉ

JUDY POOLE FINANCIAL ADVISOR

Growing from one station in Oliver to the current 7 stations from Summerland to Osoyoos, our goal at H2O To Go is to provide the South Okanagan with the “Best Tasting Drinking Water.” We don’t just talk about quality; we back up our promise with independent lab tests monthly to ensure you have the purest water available. Liza moved here after 18 years in Whitehorse, Yukon and established the business with her aunt and uncle, Linda and Patrick Graf, and her father, Jules Doré. The move was a return to a place of deep family roots in the Valley’s fruit industry, with many relations still living around the Okanagan. She has quickly grown to love the beauty of the South Okanagan, not to mention the much milder winters!! The women at H2O To Go play an equal role in the success of this business. Behind the scenes, CFO Linda Graf keeps the business “flowing,” and Liza Doré maintains the 7 locations, while also operating the only bottle sanitizing station in the South Okanagan at our Skaha Lake Road fill station.

Krystal Garib was 16 years old when she first thought of buying the dance school she learned her craft from. “I was in a dance class and was so inspired by my teacher. While I was on a world tour in 2010, as luck would have it, the opportunity came knocking. By then I had reached that point in my career where I felt like, ‘now’s the time I go back and do this.’ Now Krystal is looking to expand the reach of The Penticton School of Dance. She has trained for yoga and meditation to further enhance the school by offering these forms of exercise and relaxation methods of alternative therapy. Krystal recently received her certification in yoga and meditation from the International Osho Centre in Pune, India. Krystal has enhanced the school’s statue by bringing in professional teachers like Mike Cota and Nick Gede-Lange. Krystal continues to improve the stature of the school and make Penticton School of Dance a place to dance forever.

Big Blue Frog is your local destination for all the natural choices you need for your little bundle of joy. It carries a variety of cloth diapers, natural teething items, plus fair-trade and handmade goods for babies. The concept for Big Blue Frog was born a few years ago when Jenn Morison, who was pregnant for the first time, went hunting for information on cloth

diapering and other natural choices for infants. She soon grew frustrated by a lack of products and information, and an idea was born. After assembling the right ingredients to bring a community-care business with a small-town feel into Penticton, she’ll finally open the doors on Saturday, May 25. Big Blue Frog carries many Canadian-made items, and it’s a great little shop to pop into for a look around. It also features some locally made products, and combined with local owners, will help build a feeling of community for new and expecting mothers.
