Quadders gather near Mapes Hall to search and raise awareness for Madison Scott.
The search for Maddy continues Sam Redding Omineca Express The second On the Trail Poker Ride for Maddy took place on Saturday, May 25. The ride happened on the anniversary of Madison Scott’s disappearance two years ago. The ride took place near Mapes Hall and covered the area near Maddy’s disappearance. The surrounding community gathered in groups of ATVs,
dirt bikes, on horse and on foot to search for any signs of Maddy. Although finding any evidence was first in everyone’s mind, just raising awareness was enough for the ride’s organizers. Maddy was last seen at 3 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at a party near Hogsback Lake, 25 kilometres south of Vanderhoof. She was last seen at around 3:00 a.m on the Saturday morning. Police located her tent and white Ford F-150 truck but her
keys and cellphone have yet to be found. Investigators with the North District Major Crime Unit continue to actively investigate Maddy’s disappearance. We believe that someone has information concerning Maddy’s disappearance, and we continue to hope that they will come forward to help us determine what happened. Anyone with information concerning Maddy’s disappearance are asked to call the Vanderhoof RCMP detachment at 250-567-2222 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
