GADGET CORNER poachpod

PERFECT POACHING IN A POD Poach it, bake it, mold it
The Fusion Brand PoachPod is a versatile and flexible silicone-cooking tool that makes perfect poached eggs. PoachPods are also a convenient size for melting chocolate chips and butter, preparing small batches of custard, or even acting as a mold for rice and gelatin. The most popular use of Poach Pods, however, is as an easy way to cleanly and consistently poach eggs. You simply crack an egg into a pod and set it afloat in a pan of boiling water, reduce to a simmer and cover. There's no worry of the egg sticking in the PoachPod. Once the egg is poached to the desired firmness, remove the non-stick pod and flip it inside out, gently pushing out a perfectly dome-shaped egg. Storing is simple because Poach Pods nest together and take far less storage room than a poaching pan or other plastic egg-cooking tools. FDA-approved silicone and heat resistant to 675°F, PoachPods are safe in the oven, microwave and freezer, and are topshelf dishwasher safe for easy cleanup. The size of the pods makes an egg that is perfectly sized for an English muffin or breakfast sandwich. Just break the yoke and make sure you cook the egg long enough to be firm. Then assemble your egg-ona-muffin with ham and/or cheese.

EXPERT ADVICE
Focus on Area Rugs AREA RUGS can deliver a colourful finishing touch, completing your room’s existing décor. The rug can become your design centerpiece, inspiring the atmosphere you want to create. Alternatively, a well-chosen Area Rug can define a space; create a conversation area, designate an eating space, welcome one into a foyer, or usher your guests down a hallway.
If you are considering purchasing an area rug, you can find a huge selection of high quality, affordable brand names to suit your tastes and your budget. Area Rugs come in a large variety of sizes and styles. Area Rugs are one of the few flooring products that you can install, then pick up and move. Change them from season to season, or from room to room, as your style changes and the interior design of your home evolves. The industry is constantly updating itself with new patterns and trends, as well as excellent wear and stain resistance technologies. In terms of budget, the cost spectrum of Area Rugs is just as wide and varied as the rugs themselves. They can be an investment that becomes your family heirloom and is passed down from one generation to the next, or they can be practical and fun design elements that move around to
suit your mood. Versatile and high quality, they make a great gift for anyone’s home. By using a unique Area Rug, you can revitalize and refresh your home’s décor in one quick and easy step. The rugs can add colour and new features to all your rooms, protecting your carpets and hardwood floors and bringing the room's theme together. Why not consider a contemporary design, a classic American braided, traditional European theme, a botanical style, or a thick shag Area Rug to bring new life into a room? Area Rugs offer you softness, warmth, and sound absorption on hard flooring surfaces such as tile, wood, and stone. They add another layer of design, luxury, and warmth when laid on top of wallto-wall carpeting. They can be a fast, simple, beautiful, and effective answer to many of your flooring needs.

The history of Valentine’s Day is shrouded in mystery. We do know that February has long been celebrated as a month of love and the 14th was the day that the patron saint of lovers, St. Valentine, was supposedly executed on. Lovers all around the world mark this occasion as a day for sending gifts, poems, cards, flowers, candy, etc. Some fun Valentine’s trivia: The heart is associated with Valentine's Day as it is considered the source of all human emotions. The custom of drawing a heart shape is said to have come from early attempts to draw an organ that no one had ever seen. This became the sign of love. Cupid was the son of Venus, the Roman god of love and beauty. Cupid often appears on Valentine’s cards and gifts holding a bow and arrow as his magical arrows are believed to arouse feelings of love. The red rose, the favorite flower of the love goddess Venus, is the flower of love with its deep red colour symbolizing strong romantic feelings. Popular gifts given on Valentine’s Day include chocolates, flowers, jewelry, cards, fragrance, lingerie, stuffed animals and gift cards! What better way to spoil your loved one and say “I love you”.
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY! Enjoy the ride.

FALL IN LOVE with your FEET AGAIN A foot is not just another body part at the end of your leg. The foot is and ought to be the most dependable form of transportation you have. If you want to build any structure, a strong base foundation is the key component that defines its strength; it's the same with the feet that support the human body to make it stand firm. In fact your feet are an excellent barometer that indicates your general physical condition, (reflexologists would confirm this), as well the alignment of the bones in the foot can influence the stability of the rest of the body.

FENG SHUI
What can you do to keep your feet healthy?
in the Bedroom We all know that lingerie, candlelight or a romantic dinner can help set the mood for loving-making, but have you ever thought that the very placement of the items in your bedroom might be affecting your love life? Maybe fixing the feng shui in your bedroom is exactly what you need. Bedroom feng shui is about encouraging the harmonious flow of nurturing, healing and sensual energies. A bedroom with good feng shui will lure you for a nap, a good night’s sleep or even love-making. First, make sure that your mattress is one that most promotes sleep and wellness for you. If you sleep better at night, you will feel better during the day. Second, ensure your bed has a solid headboard to support the complex energy flow that happens when you

sleep. Third, make sure there is enough room above and below your bed for good energy circulation. Assuming you have mastered good bed feng shui, then the next step is knowing where to place the bed. The key here is not to align the bed with any doors, (including closet doors) windows, sharp corners or electrical appliances. For the best feng shui, place your bed against a strong wall with no electrical appliances and a nightstand on either side of the bed.

Avoid activities that cause recurring pain in your feet, knees and hips. Wear appropriate foot wear when you are exercising. Have your foot mechanics checked, maybe its time for orthotics. Adopt an active lifestyle. The best form of general exercise is walking, which improves overall well being and contributes to maintaining a healthy weight. • And of course receiving regular foot care will keep your feet not only looking amazing but feeling great! Other bedroom feng shui guidelines: • Plants are not good unless placed far away from the bed • Quality air should be a priority by opening windows and using an air purifier • Electronic / exercise equipment should be removed • Candlelight is best, but if this isn’t possible, use a dimmer • Use soothing colours (any skin tone) in the room • Keep all doors closed at night • Surround yourself with images of what you want to see in your life
