KEVIN MACDONALD Abbotsford News

A woman who lived in a motor home next to two large adjoining barns escaped without injury early Wednesday morning after the structures caught fire. The Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service was called out just after 1:30 a.m. to the scene at 6077 Ross Rd. in northwest Abbotsford. When crews arrived, they found the barns fully engulfed in flames. The woman in the motor home heard what she thought was the wind, but fled when she looked out and saw sparks and flames. Firefighters were able to save her home, although the barns were razed. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation. See video at abbynews.com.
