the U.S., Victoria and elsewhere will play a fastpaced, six-player game (instead of the usual 11 players), producing spectacular action in matches that last just over an hour. Hosted every two years since 1986, the tournament is this year part of the City of Victoria’s 150th birthday celebrations – appropriate given cricket’s long and rich history here. Games will be played at Beacon Hill Park in Victoria and Windsor Park in Oak Bay between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. with the playoff rounds Aug. 11. Victoria Symphony makes a Splash The Victoria Symphony will make a Splash this weekend as Victoria’s Inner Harbour is transformed into an outdoor concert stage.
