The special sand has been imported and pounded into large forms and tomorrow (July 14) sand sculptors from 10 different states, provinces and countries begin chipping away at their masterpieces. The 13th annual Quality Foods Canadian Open Sand Sculpting Competition and Exhibition kicks off on Parksville Bay today, with the main competition running through the weekend and the exhibition running right through until August 19.
