The Chu Project covers an area of 16,782 hectares. Exploration programs for 2010 concentrated on the molybdenum and copper resource. To date the drilling on the Chu project has outlined mineralization extending over 1.7 kilometers long, over 650 meters deep, and 400 meters wide.
The deposit remains open to depth. TTM advanced the project to the pre-feasibility stage in fall 2010. Exploration programs during 2012 will concentrate on advancing the project to the prefeasibility stage and will entail additional drilling of up to 30,000 metres. Engineering work will include geotechnical evaluation of the tailings site facility, groundwater monitoring, and orientated drilling for pit design and rock stability. Environmental studies are ongoing as are discussions with First Nations in the project area.

Mount Milligan mine near Fort St. James in construction
Celebrating our past, exploring our future. MAY 23-25 2012 in Burns Lake
Mt. Milligan mine is a copper and gold project located approximately 145 kilometres northwest of Prince George, near Fort St. James. Terrane Metals, a subsidiary of Thompson Creek Metals Inc. The company is now in the process of constructing the mine, which is expected to be in full production during 2013. The project received an En-
vironmental Assessment Certificate in March 2009 and a Mines Act Permit from the province of British Columbia in September 2009.The Mt. Milligan project is based on a conventional truck-shovel open pit mine and will be built over a 30 month period at a capital cost of approximately $915 million. Commercial production of ore is scheduled to commence in 2013. Average
annual metal production over a 22 year mine life is forecast to be 81 million pounds of copper and 194,500 ounces gold. The mine plan has been designed for extraction of higher grade and gold rich reserves in the early years. In the first six years of the mine plan, gold production will account for 55 per cent of the revenue. The Mount Milligan project was given federal environmental
approval and also received its final authorizations from the Federal Environment Ministry enabling construction to forge ahead. The open-pit operation is expected to employ approximately 350 mine workers and Thompson Creek Metals intends to fill as many jobs as possible with local workers. The mine will employ more than 1,000 people during construction.

Mines Act permit issued to Endako creates 160 new jobs Thirty six Babine Forest Products workers employed by Endako Mine CONTRIBUTED Endako Mine has been issued a Mines Act permit amendment which will increase production, create approximately 160 new jobs and sustain a total of 400 employees in the north, announced Minister of Energy and Mines Rich Coleman. Endako is a molybdenum mine owned by Thompson Creek Mining Ltd., and Sojitz Corporation and is located 100 kilometres west of Prince George near Fraser Lake. It has been in continuous production since 1965. The expansion of the mine will amalgamate the three pits. It will also result in a major upgrade to the mine's 42-year-old mill and will create a new facility that will nearly double the current processing capacity to 55,000 tonnes. The expansion's projected capital cost is approximately $600 million. Mining reserves are sufficient to continue operations until ap-

proximately 2028. The expansion will generate approximately $90 - $100 million annually in economic activity such as direct wages, purchases and taxes. The Endako expansion has been able to provide an employment opportunity for 36 displaced mill workers who were negatively affected by the recent fire and explosion which closed the Babine Forest Products mill. The workers will help to start up the new mill, and these jobs may lead to permanent employment. Mineral exploration and mining is an important economic driver for British Columbia. The production value of this province's mining industry was approximately $8.6 billion in 2011. Under the BC Jobs Plan, the Province has expanded four mines. The goal is to open eight new and expand a total of nine mines in British Columbia by 2015.

The Berg Project continuously under investigation Terrane Metals' second significant asset is the Berg Project located approximately 84 kilometres southwest of Houston and 22 kilometres northwest of Huckleberry Mine. From 1965 to 1980, Kennecott Exploration Ltd. and Placer Dome Inc. completed 119 diamond drill holes totaling 20,128 metres on the property and developed a significant copper and molybdenum resource. The joint venture partners also completed numerous metallurgical tests, environmental studies, and financial analysis on the Berg project. The project was then shelved in the early 1990's due to declining metal prices, however in 2006, Terrane Metals obtained 100 per cent ownership of the project and reactivated the property. Terrane decided to evaluate the potential of bringing the proposed mine to commercial production. Terrane has now completed over 22,500 metres of diamond drilling in 60 holes, testing the depth potential of the deposit and investigating the molybdenum-rich core zone. Then in May, 2009 Terrane announced a revised mineral resource estimate for the project which equated to a 36 per cent expansion over the previous estimate. The company reports ongoing exploration and development at the site. The Berg project is ideally situated near infrastructure associated with the Huckleberry Mine and has the potential to be a significant producer of copper and molybdenum. Metals will continue to advance the project by investigating mine development scenarios.
The objectives of the conference are to: • Establish contacts and build working relationships • Inform communities about mining and exploration projects and issues • Hold a dialogue on the impacts and benefits of mining • The warm hospitality that derives from community involvement ensures that Minerals North is distinct from any other mining conference in British Columbia.

We are putting on a new face in Northern British Columbia. At the Kitimat Modernization Project, we are investing $US 3.3 billion to modernize our 60 year old aluminium smelter. When completed in 2014, our ultra-modern smelter will be one of the most environmentally friendly and lowest cost producers in the world. From cars to planes, and for decades to come, over 400,000 tonnes of made in BC aluminium will be exported around the world to help make the products we all depend on.
