Coming down the pipe Kinder Morgan Canada is seeking to twin its Trans Mountain Pipeline that runs through Abbotsford on its route from northern Alberta to Burnaby. The expansion would mean a major increase in the amount of crude oil the pipeline carries, and in the number of tankers passing through coastal waters. While environmentalists worry about possible spills, the company points out that oil is vital to the economy, and the pipeline is the safest way to transport it. A News special series. A3
