Shuttle launch Transportation between Peninsula attractions a reality after three years of anticipation Christine van Reeuwyk News staff
After three years of anticipation a shuttle to take tourists around the Peninsula will launch this summer. The hop-on, hop-off trolley discussion in recent years became a reality as Dave Cowen, general manager of Butchart Gardens, announced the shuttle that will bring people to many of the hot spots on the Saanich Peninsula. He made the announcement during the Peninsula Chamber of Commerce annual general meeting Tuesday night in Brentwood Bay. “One of the constructive pieces of feedback that we’ve heard … is that, gee, it’s awfully difficult to move around Victoria if you don’t have a car,” Cowen said.
