As the clock strikes midnight, the Federal Eviction Moratorium expires. Millions of Black families are celebrating New Year’s Eve in homes and apartments that won’t be theirs by the end of the month.
Black unemployment is at an all time high. Them holiday season retail jobs never came.
The Government just launched an investigation into “Widespread Recovery Fraud” in the Black Community, saying they’ll prosecute “Government Thieves and Traitors” to the fullest extent of the law.
A second stimulus came and went, spent the last of it on Christmas.
It’s cold as fuck. COVID came back with a vengeance. It’s a missing family member at almost every table.
White militias guard white neighborhoods against “holiday looters”. Police look the other way.
Rent due, water due, power due, credit cards due.
It’s 2021.
Nobody is coming to save us. They say even God only help those that help themselves. Where are you? What are you doing? Are you prepared? Is your Block prepared? Your crew prepared?
The next few months will decide the next decade of our lives. Our only hope is their biggest fear: Organization.
