Forest Guardians: Our Restorarion Mission

FOREST GUARDIANS

Hi! Hello!

Wow itwas so hotyesterday, Ifeltsick.

Yeah, it’s so sad! My uncle found a lot of dead fish along the riverbanks

It was so hot! Like nothing we’ve ever felt before... And did you see how dry the river is?

I heard at school that this is a result of climatechange.

Climate change

Imagine Earth is a big pot. If we leave the stove on, the pot gets really hot, right? Its the same with Earth when we pollute the air with cars, factories, and deforestation. Earth gets hotter and that causes problems!

When this happens, plants get unhealthy, and animals have trouble finding food. Rivers and lakes get dry and unlivable.

We can help the Earth! Planting trees is like giving Earth a big hug. Let’s work together to take care of our planet!

Do you remember what our teacher said when we celebrated Arbor Day?

Yes, they’re also great for controlling the climate. Remember the tree at school? It’s so much cooler under it…

I remember! She talked about how important trees are for being homes for animals, producing our food…

I love playing under those trees!

The teacher also said that trees absorb water, so if we had more trees around the rivers, maybe they wouldn’t be so dry.

That reminds me of the work done by the BlackJaguar Foundation. My mom works with them!

Really? Whatdoes Black Jaguar Foundation do?

That’s awesome!! So they’re helping to save the Earth?

They plant trees around rivers and lakes with local farmers.

Yes!Momsaidthatby plantingtrees, we’re hgivingmanyanimalstheir omesback , helpingwith biodiversity, makingthe airfresher, andaidingintheconservationand protectionofthe CAmazonandthe erradosavanna.

That’s great! Do you think we can be forest guardians too? I really want to help take care of nature!

Whatis ecologicalrestoration?

Ecological restoration is helping nature recover when something is out of place. Imagine you build a sandcastle and it falls apart – you help fix it and make it nice again! Similarly, we plant trees and take care of animals to help them return to their homes, making Earth happy and healthy once more.

Mom said that with small acts of environmental conservation, we can all be true guardiansoftheforest!

Whyaretrees soimportant?

Trees are like nature’s superheroes! They help keep our rivers and lakes clean and full of water. When it rains, trees "hug" the water with their roots and prevent it from spreading and causing floods. They also help "filter" the water, making it cleaner.

Without trees, the water can get dirty and our rivers can dry up faster, or even disappear! It’s really important to take care of trees and plant new ones. That way, we can make sure we always have clean water to play in and drink!

Let’s be friends with trees and take good care of them!

ATMOSPHERE ENVIRONMENTAL PRESERVATION FORESTS

They prevent soil erosion and regulate the climate.

It is the set of elements, processes, and biological, physical, and chemical dynamics that interact with each other and sustain life on Earth. Around the planet, there is a "blanket." This blanket is ideal for maintaining the planet's temperature, but as polluting gases are sticking to this blanket, it is becoming too hot.

A set of measures and practices adopted to fully protect an area or a natural resource.

They are large reservoirs that contribute to the survival of life on Earth. They can be used for various activities: recreation, human consumption, transportation, industrial supply, energy generation, among others.
