The last GSI for 2021 shows a decline of 3% for the year, with satisfaction across most policy areas tracking lower than in 2020, as the Singapore Government battled the pandemic. Crucially, it is hip pocket issues that are hurting the government most – satisfaction with car prices and housing affordability are both down 8% year on year and cost of living is down 6%.
