Fall and Winter 8th grade
Blach 8th graders had an amazing fall and winter sports season. Many teams finished first place in their league and had a great season. Here’s a recap of these astonishing teams.

The school year’s first season kicked off with cross country, which lasted from September to early October. The cross country team actively showed its supportive nature throughout the season. Divya Banthia, in cross country, said, “When someone was finishing a practice run, everyone would always cheer them on as they finished ” A couple of Blach 8th graders were able to proceed to the finals.
The 8th grade girls’ volleyball team soared to new heights, completing the season undefeated and winning the playoffs. Similarly, the boys’ team also had an amazing season, only losing to Miller in the finals. Both teams put in lots of hard work, which is shown by their amazing results.
The 8th grade girls’ soccer team dominated the season, finishing first place and winning the championship! Kirati Bollineni, an outside back, described the winning game “It was 0-0 and it was the last 15 minutes of the final,” she said. “We shot. We scored. We won.” She enjoyed playing future champions, Colombia, in the semifinals. Liam Abelson, left winger, said, “It was 0-0 until overtime.
