The Limited Female Sale 2022

It is hard to believe that it has already been a year since our first ever “Limited Female Sale.” For those of you who bid, bought and showed interest last year, THANK YOU and welcome back. For those who are joining us for the first time, THANK YOU for taking the time to view our offering.

The response to our sale last year was a very humbling experience and we were so happy to hear of all the success that people had with their bred female purchases. We had multiple success stories of bred females raising calves for their new owners that sold and made people money across the country. These success stories are what makes it all worth it and is the reason we started this sale.

Now more than ever, YOUR bottom line is the number one concern. This year’s offering is stacked with national champion pedigrees, cow power, look, and performance. We cut deep to make sure this set lived up to the quality of last year’s and as you flip through this catalog we think you will see what we are talking about.

The sale will be hosted by SC Online Sales on Tuesday, December 20th, 2022. This catalog is only a reference and videos of all lots can be viewed on SC Online Sales. Lot 2 comes from one of our favorite donors and past show heifers that we call “Betty.” Betty is a 1/4 Simmental and high Chi that was Reserve Champion AOB Female in NAILE 2019. Since then, we have had a blast flushing her multiple different ways. This Maternal Made was a result of one of the first flushes on Betty and needless to say, we made more of them. Huge rib cage, big feet and legs, awesome muscle shape and incredibly good haired. Steers or heifers, she will make them both. Sells safe to Daddy’s Money.

Pull out your phone, your ipad, or your laptop and watch this one’s video. This Ain’t Bluffin is out of our lead donor “Lady 62” that has generated numerous champions and high sellers for us the last 6 years. This brockle headed female ties high out of the top side of her shoulder, is incredible in her structure at the ground, and can flat pick them up and put them down. Her full sister was campaigned by the DeFrank Family in Ohio last year, claiming numerous top fives. Lot 4 sells safe AI to Adam Griffith’s bull “Sugar Daddy.”

Lot 5 is an absolute beast of a club calf female. This Holy Smoker is built incredible at the ground and sets down on a large soft foot. It is hard to breed cattle that are this stout but still lay their muscle on their skeleton this smooth. We think this one’s neck set and body shape make her a show steer generator. Remember when everyone said that Heat Wave and Monopoly daughters weren’t going to make cows? Well now they are behind almost every high dollar show steer. We think this one will flat get it done as a cow.

“The Limited,” I think we all envisioned cattle like this. Functional and practical but still with some wow factor and look. This Angus sired Chi heifer is neat chested, long necked and pretty headed. She possesses great presence with an awesome hip and hind leg. She goes back to an outstanding Who Da Man cow that stamps them every time. She

Here is one we would could not wait to picture for the sale. This was the hairiest calf on the farm when she was born. Backed by an awesome cow that is going to be an up and coming donor for us . We feel this one can produce heifers but also has the width and dimension to produce those highly sought after steers. Her picture says it all.

This is a prime example why the Turning Point bull clicks on our cows... he can produce high quality calves on first calf heifers. Lot 9 has the size and scale to make a donor cow. She is big footed, soggy bellied, and sound moving. Lots of mating possibilities in the future for this female. We are excited to hear about how Lover Boy clicks on her for her new owner.

Another daughter out of the “Betty” cow that needs no introduction. Broker has been the king for a long time and with daughters like this I’d say he is going to continue to be the king for quite sometime. So much pin width, bone, and shape in this female, yet she is still smooth in her makeup and balances up incredibly well. This female makes a front pasture cow all day long. Mate her for females or steers, we think she has the phenotype and genotype to do both. Sells safe to Lover Boy.

Lots of wow factor in this Uno Mas daughter. For a 3/4 Simmental, we feel this one’s “out there” look will bring all the right pieces to the table when mating her to raise purebred Simmentals. She has big sound feet and legs, a neck a mile long, and gets around like a cat. Take your pick of all the Simmental bulls out there that can inject power and she’ll take care of the balance and look. We are selling some S.A.M. semen at the end of the sale that might be a good investment for this girl down the road. Sells safe to Lover Boy. Calf will register purebred Simmental.

The sire of lot 16, CLAC Bank On It is a Revival x Boots purebred Simmental bull we bought from Jamie Campbell a few years back. He stamps all his daughters with this same look. Stout, soft middled, rugged, and maternal. The half-blood cow that she goes back to has a gorgeous udder and we are certain this one will too. Sells safe in calf to Uno Mas sexed female, quick return here with a purebred Simmental heifer calf on the way!

Lot 19 is a maternal sister to the high selling female in the 2021 “Limited Female Sale.” Our high seller last year was a First N Goal out of our lead donor “Lady 62.” She went on to raise an awesome heifer calf for Gerstell Farms in West Virgina. This year we have a hairier, freakier version of her sister that is sired by the now deceased Colburn Primo. A full sister to lot 19 sold to Missouri for $14,500 through Charlie Wilson a few years back and won a lot of shows. There is only one mature cow in this year’s offering, but she is the cream of the crop. Lot 20 is another daughter of “Lady 62” and out of the popular W/C Relentless bull. She has an awesome rib cage, impeccable feet and leg structure, and a sweet front third. She put a heifer in our keeper pen in her first year of production and raised a really nice steer we sold privately. What will she do for you?

The saying “saving the best until last,“ could certainly apply here! This is the kind of female that very easily could have started the sale. Big bodied, awesome structured, and the kind of hip and hind leg that are hard to make. I feel she is powerful enough to raise steers but elegant enough to raise females. Bertha is a Maternal Made x Funny Money (Monopoly) that the Becketts in South Dakota raised. She never hung a big banner herself, but man has she amped up our donor pen since her show career ended. Her very first ET calf to hit the ground was the Reserve Grand Bred and Owned Chianina Female at Junior Nationals this summer. Another full sister sold at Hoobler’s this fall for $20,000 and has already found the backdrop. These embryos are full sibs to both heifers pictured and will dual register 6.5% Chi and 50% Maintainer.
