Message from the Headmaster Life in school is about personal growth, learning, developing/discovering your passion and maintaining a level of wellbeing to be happy and healthy. Our community of students, teachers, coaches, support staff and parents have supported each other in the past year in order to allow school to continue as we know it or as close as possible to that. We have seen sports, performing arts, trips, drama productions, bands, competitions against other schools and most activities return to our calendar. It has been wonderful to welcome a record number of new students and families to the school this year and for some to rejoin us again. International examinations are back on site and the corridors and playgrounds echo with sounds of laughter, joy and friendship. While it is not easy to see someone smile, most have adapted to reading facial expressions and other physical symbols. Even so, the enthusiasm and love of school is obvious. At times it was tough, there was change, protocols to follow, rules to obey and the unpredictable nature of the world. Most have become more resilient, developed new skills and habits and hopefully looked for opportunities rather than excuses.
Simon Meredith Headmaster
I am forever grateful to our community of students and parents for the ongoing support and cooperation in unprecedented times. You have truly reflected and lived our school values of respect, compassion and integrity. The teachers, coaches and support staff have adapted with confidence and a caring inclusive manner. They have provided an education for the students that has been continuous and of a high standard. Thank you to all staff for your professionalism and efforts to allow learning to continue no matter what the circumstances were. Congratulations to our graduates who leave us to join universities around the world or begin new adventures and experiences. We look forward to hearing from you in the future. To the editorial and marketing team, thank you for your efforts in documenting this year in so many different formats, as well as this Yearbook.
Messages from the Administration The end of the academic year, not only seems to be the end of classes but also the beginning of a new path in life. Some students will continue studying at BISP, beginning new subjects with new teachers. The Year 13 graduates are preparing for a new journey in a totally different environment. They have accomplished and completed school at BISP with pride. I would like to express my delight and gratitude to all who graduated. Congratulations on your well-deserved success! This year is a memorable year for BISP as it is the 25th anniversary. We are sure to keep growing in the future. I am so appreciative of the success and the prosperity that has been created throughout the school. BISP will continue to keep improving in many ways including academics and facilities.
Asst.Prof.Dr.Nares Pantaratorn Managing director
In the past year, BISP has faced a difficult time during the pandemic of COVID-19. The schools in Thailand had to close and provide online sessions instead. BISP has been conscious of this situation and adjusted the on-site courses to suit the situation and students’ needs. BISP was chosen to be one of The Safety School Sandbox Programmes. Moreover, we were the first school in Thailand that successfully arranged the Wellbeing and Sports Programme on-site during the pandemic and became a role model for other schools in Thailand. This enhanced our reputation’s global image. I sincerely thank all teachers, staff, students and parents for your cooperation and support in the last school year. Thank you for being a part of the BISP family.
First of all, I would like to congratulate all graduates this academic year and I wish you all the best going forward. This year will surely be a year to remember. I hope that you enjoy this yearbook and take a moment to reflect on the new learning, friendships, and fun that we experienced together this year. I would like to say a special thank you to everyone for all the sacrifices made, and for always putting community before self. Without the combined efforts and sacrifices made by everyone, we would not be where we are today. We must not let our guard down until the COVID-19 virus is completely contained. We are indeed blessed and thankful that we have reached the last day of the School year in 2021-2022 with everyone safe. Have a good and meaningful holiday, and I look forward to welcoming all of you back in 2022-2023.

Principal, Primary School This has been another tremendous year in the Primary School at BISP. Looking through these pages you can see happy children enjoying successful learning in a school driven by the school values of respect, compassion (‘kindness’) and integrity. It is marvellous to see. This has been a year of significant growth in which the confidence of our community in BISP, coupled with our global reputation, has brought an unprecedented number of new students to our school and to Primary in particular. As a result, we appear to be emerging strongly from these pandemic years. Children have not only enjoyed the full range of lessons and learning throughout the year, we have increasingly been able to facilitate more of the additional activities that can serve to enhance the school experience, including going on residential trips, reintroducing lunchtime concerts, taking part in inter-school competitions and enjoying a fabulous stage performance of “Mystery at Magpie Manor” from our Year 4-6 children. Thank you to our parent community for your support during challenging times. The partnership between you and the school staff has been strengthened through adversity; we look forward to building on this as we develop and grow. I would like to take this opportunity to recognise the extraordinary efforts of many of my colleagues this past year. Through uncertain and sometimes personally challenging times, our teachers and teaching assistants have risen to the task of providing a welcoming and inclusive environment in which established children and those new to our school have all been able to come together to thrive and grow in their learning. Similarly our administrative staff have been consistently friendly, helpful and positive throughout. Other BISP staff such as those working in nursing, security, premises management and in the kitchens have all played their part, rising to recent challenges in good spirits all to the same end: to enable our children to learn and thrive in a safe and happy environment. “Inspire learning, nurture wellbeing, ignite passion”, as our school mission statement says. Enjoy the yearbook!

Principal, Secondary School The Year Book is a wonderful reflection of the past 12 months, and I hope you enjoy the many memories and special moments that have occurred during the last academic year. In a year which has continued to adjust to the ripple of the pandemic, we have achieved an incredible amount - outstanding examination results; amazing sports performances receiving national and international honours; Performing Arts students taking centre stage; and an incredible number of curriculum enrichment experiences that have added great value to the learning experience. Our graduating class of 2022 are pursuing University placements and scholarship around the world and we wish them every success as they formally become BISP alumni. We hope to keep connected and hear how a BISP education has laid the foundations for further success. We also thank all other students who are leaving BISP this year, for their invaluable contributions and wish them well in their future endeavours. On behalf of the teachers and staff at BISP, I congratulate and thank all students for their dedication and commitment to our wonderful school.
Messages from the Head Students It was 10 years ago when I first joined BISP, barely able to speak any English. I thought I would not be able to adapt to this school and would have to leave. But here I am, a decade later, still having an amazing time at BISP. It is a testament to the friendliness of the BISP community. There is always a place for everyone in this community. A reason why BISP is so special is the endless possibilities it provides for you to develop your passion and interests along with a supportive community ready to celebrate and cheer you on. Whether it be academics, sports, arts or performing arts, these passions can flourish here at BISP. It was these opportunities which shaped me into who I am today. Being the Head Student is an opportunity for me to give back to the community. Working with the Student Leadership Team, we have launched many projects to strengthen the community’s bond and amplify the student’s voices. I wish to pass these on to the future Head Students, to further improve and work to make BISP and its community even better. Thank you to everyone for putting the trust in me to be the voice of the student body, I am both honoured and humbled to have been in this position. I hope I have left a legacy behind, no matter how small it is. It has been an unforgettable ride. There is, truly, no place like BISP.
Wongsathorn Tonkultorn Head student
BISP is one of a kind. The numerous opportunities to explore various passions such as sports, music, arts and academics have shaped me into who I am today. What is incredibly special about BISP is the supportive culture and the friendly community to try new things. This has enabled me to go out of my comfort zone and grown to be a well-rounded person. My heartfelt appreciation goes to the compassionate and caring teachers and students with whom I have formed deep friendships. As Head Student, I had the great honour to be the voice for the student body and the servant leader for the BISP community. By creating the role of Student Representatives, we were able to promote student voice and leadership. It filled my heart with immense joy and fulfilment to watch the Student Representatives and Leaders blossom in their roles and take initiative to add value. I hope this will continue and become part of the BISP culture. My experience as Head Student is an something I will always cherish. Thank you for giving me the privilege to be your Head Student from 2021-2022. I hope the Student Leadership Team has left a legacy behind and made an impact in the past year.

We have had another great year in the Design and Technology department and Mr Man and Mr Craigen would like to thank all out students for their inspiration, involvement and motivation to create some fantastic projects both in the workshop and through through the STEAM project for students in Year 7, 8 and 9. Both myself and Mr Craigen are already looking forward to next year as, no doubt, it will be another inspirational year!
Year 7 students have been designing a light box, in the style of Memphis, using laser cutting and soldering techniques. Students are decorating their designs using a range of finishing techniques
The Year 8 students have been learning to manipulate acrylic using a laser cutter and strip heater, amongst other tools and equipment in the workshop. The acrylic desk tidy project has inspired many different themes for their individual designs.
The Year 9 students have been learning a range of graphic and modelling techniques for their shoe design projects. Students have been encouraged to develop their designs to suit a selected target market.
128
Year 10 students are developing their IGCSE design projects by modelling their ideas in card, plywood and acrylic. They will then make a full size prototype for their final design.
