This year’s yearbook marks another proud and exciting chapter in the BISP story. As we reflect on the 2025–2026 academic year, we are reminded not only of how far we have come, but also of the incredible momentum we continue to build as a school community.

This year is particularly significant as we celebrate the largest graduating class in our 29-year history—a milestone that highlights both the growth of our school and the strength of our students. It also serves as a timely reminder that BISP is approaching its 30th year, a testament to the enduring vision, commitment, and success of our community over nearly three decades.

Our Innovation Hub, which opened last year, is now fully operational and continues to have a meaningful impact across the school. It has become a central part of our learning environment, supporting collaboration, creativity, and forward-thinking approaches that prepare our students for the future.

Across all areas of the school, there has once again been outstanding success. From academic achievement within our curricula to the breadth and quality of our Ignite programme, our students have demonstrated excellence, resilience, and a genuine passion for learning. Whether in the classroom, in sport, the arts, service, or innovation, they continue to inspire us all.

At the heart of this success is our diverse and vibrant international community. The relationships between students, staff, and parents remain a defining strength of BISP, creating an environment where global perspectives, mutual respect, and shared values thrive.

None of this would be possible without the continued support of our parents. Your partnership, encouragement, and trust play a vital role in everything we achieve as a school, and we are sincerely grateful.

To the Class of 2026, congratulations on your achievements and on being part of such a historic year. You leave BISP as part of our largest graduating cohort, carrying with you not only your academic accomplishments but also the experiences, friendships, and values that will guide you in the years ahead.

Finally, thank you to everyone who has contributed to this yearbook. It captures the spirit of a remarkable year—one defined by growth, innovation, and a community that continues to look forward with confidence and ambition.

As we reflect on the 2025–2026 academic year at British International School, Phuket, we celebrate a community that is both proudly local and confidently global.

Set in the unique cultural landscape of Phuket, our school continues to be shaped by the richness of Thai traditions alongside the diversity of our international community. This balance is one of BISP’s greatest strengths. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to our Thai teachers and Thai staff, whose dedication to language, culture, and values ensures that our students develop a deep respect for Thailand while growing as global citizens.

Throughout this year, our students have demonstrated resilience, curiosity, and compassion. Whether in the classroom, on the stage, on the sports field, or through service, they have embraced opportunities to learn, lead, and contribute. These experiences go far beyond academic success; they define character and prepare our students for life in an ever-changing world.

To our graduating students, you leave BISP not only with your qualifications but with a strong sense of identity, purpose, and belonging. You are part of a global community, and we are proud of the young people you have become.

Looking ahead, the 2026–2027 academic year will mark a significant milestone as BISP celebrates its 30th Anniversary. This will be an opportunity to honour our history, recognise the contributions of our community, and look forward with ambition and confidence to the future.

My sincere thanks to our staff, students, and families for your continued commitment to the values that define BISP.

As we reflect on the past academic year, I am filled with pride and gratitude for the many achievements of our students, staff, and wider community. From our youngest learners in Early Years through to our Primary students, this has been a year defined by growth, learning, and memorable experiences. It is a privilege to be part of such a special school.

Across the school, children have made excellent progress in their learning and development. In Early Years, this has been grounded in rich, play-based experiences that has nurtured curiosity, communication, and independence. In Primary, students have continued to build strong foundations across all areas of the curriculum, supported by the passion and expertise of our teachers, who have inspired a genuine love of learning in every classroom.

Beyond the classroom, the year has been full of opportunity. Our youngest children have thrived in outdoor learning environments, including the Jungle School programme, while older students have embraced experiences such as residential camps and trips, developing resilience, independence, and lasting friendships and memories. Highlights such as the Year 6 production, The Wrong Way Round, and visits from authors have further enriched school life and sparked creativity across the community.

We are proud of the diversity and inclusivity that define our school. Events such as International Day, celebrating our 60 nationalities, alongside Thai cultural celebrations including Songkran and Wai Kru Day, have provided meaningful opportunities for children to connect with both global and local cultures. Across all age groups, these shared experiences have helped foster a strong sense of belonging.

Our wider community continues to play an important role in school life. From visitors in Early Years, including local police and fire crews, to whole-school events such as the Christmas Grotto and our PTAled fundraising initiatives, these moments strengthen the connections between students, families, and staff. In particular, the Student Council’s Christmas Cheer Box Campaign, which provided over 300 boxes of Christmas gifts for underprivileged children in Phuket and Southern Thailand, was a powerful example of compassion and student leadership in action.

Opportunities beyond the classroom have continued to flourish through our Ignite ECA programme and Ignite Challenge, where children have explored their interests, developed new skills, and learned the value of making a positive contribution to the world around them.

Throughout the year, we have seen tremendous growth in our students —not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. From the early development of communication and confidence in Early Years to the leadership, resilience, and empathy demonstrated by our Primary students, each child has been supported to grow and thrive.

My sincere thanks go to our dedicated staff for their care, professionalism, and commitment, and to our families for their continued trust and partnership. Together, we create a nurturing and inspiring environment where every child can flourish.

I hope you enjoy reading this yearbook and celebrating the many moments that have made this year so special.

After 15 years at BISP, I have come to understand that a school is defined not by its buildings or results alone, but by its people, its shared experiences, and the moments that stay with us long after the year ends. This has been a year shaped by both challenge and growth—one that has truly highlighted the strength, resilience, and spirit of our community.

What stood out most is the way our students and staff have come together with a shared sense of purpose—supporting one another, adapting when needed, and continuing to move forward with determination and care. There is a genuine sense of belonging at BISP, and it is in these moments that the true character of our school is revealed.

On behalf of the entire community, it is my absolute privilege to congratulate the Class of 2026 on reaching this important milestone. You are a cohort that will be remembered not only for your achievements, but for your energy, individuality, and unmistakable character. You have never simply followed a path—you have shaped it, challenging expectations, supporting one another, and leaving a lasting imprint on our school. As my first cohort of Head Students and Student Leaders, you hold a special place in my journey as a school leader. You have helped continue to define what leadership looks like at BISP and your influence will be felt long after you leave.

To our staff: thank you for your unwavering dedication, care, and professionalism. To our families, thank you for your continued trust and partnership. It is this collective effort that makes BISP such a special place to learn and to work.

As the year draws to a close, I hope you take time to reflect on all that has been achieved with great pride.

Wishing you all a wonderful summer,

Serving as Head Student has been a significant part of my time at school. It has given me the opportunity to work with students and teachers across the community, take on new responsibilities, and contribute to making the school a more supportive and connected environment.

Some of my favourite memories have come from moments outside the classroom: sailing through Krabi during our Gold Duke of Edinburgh expedition, working together through challenges, laughing during late nights, and realising how much people can grow when they step outside their comfort zones. Those experiences taught me resilience, teamwork, and the importance of trusting the people around you.

This school has also given me the opportunity to discover passions I never expected. Whether through academics, conferences, leadership opportunities, creative projects, or simply conversations with inspiring teachers and friends, I’ve been constantly encouraged to think bigger and work harder. From preparing for exams to representing the student body, every experience has shaped me into a more confident and determined person.

What makes this community special is the people within it. I’ve met students from so many different backgrounds, each bringing unique perspectives, talents, and ambitions. I’ve seen acts of kindness in hallways, determination in classrooms, and support during difficult moments. It’s these everyday actions that truly define our school.

As Head Student, I hope I’ve helped others feel heard and supported, while encouraging students to make the most of every opportunity available to them. Leadership, to me, is about creating an environment where others can grow, succeed, and feel valued.

To the teachers who guided us, challenged us, and believed in us even when we doubted ourselves — thank you. To my friends and fellow students, thank you for the memories, the laughter, and the countless moments that made school feel like a second home.

No matter where life takes me next, I know I will carry the lessons, friendships, and experiences from this community with me forever.

Sincerely, Daisy

As we reach the end of this academic year, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey of the past two terms as head student, especially for a community that shaped who I am. Even though we still have one busy final term to go, looking at the energy we’ve built so far makes me incredibly proud.

My main goal from day one was to make sure every student feels seen and supported, no matter what they’re into or what their background is. Right now, we’re right in the middle of developing a Student Mentorship Programme with support from our Head of Academics, Wellbeing, and Student Athlete Advisor. I was inspired by how naturally the older athletes and performers guide the younger ones, and I want to turn that into a real system where we can support each other in a way only students can. We’ve already seen some great initiatives with the peer-tutoring programme that Hiisan (Head of Academic) has started, and I’m excited to keep that momentum building.

That sense of connection is what makes BISP feel like home, especially during the moments that bring us all together. Whether it was the Candle-Lighting Tribute for Queen Sirikit, the Tug of War on Sports Day, or the Teacher Dunk during Spirit Week, those are the memories that stay with you, balancing both the solemn and the joy. A personal highlight for me was leading the Songkran Splash Celebration along with the House Captains. Seeing those local traditions foster a meaningful, uniting experience across year groups really showed our school spirit.

We are also currently introducing a Student-Led Media Team working closely with the school’s marketing team, garnering realworld experience and ensuring we’re capturing all of this from our perspective. We want to provide real opportunities for students to pursue their passions in media, so we’re ready to hit the ground running once we reach the hectic first term of next year.

Looking ahead to our final term, I’m excited to keep strengthening our community bonds and working more closely with the PTA. None of this would have happened without the people standing next to me, so I want to give a massive thank you to the House Captains and my entire Student Leadership Team. Your dedication is what turns these ideas into reality. I’m looking forward to finishing this year strong and seeing how these new initiatives grow!

Sincerely, Mammoth
