Bishop Noll offers a variety of challenging elective classes to prepare students interested in various career paths
A new state-of-the-art STREAM Lab allows students to explore the fields of science, technology, religion, engineering, art and math.
Chinese and Spanish classes are offered with full teacher instruction.
Civil Engineering and Architecture students learn application and design principles in conjunction with mathematical and scientific knowledge. Computer software programs allow students opportunities to design, simulate and evaluate the construction of buildings and communities.
Mass Media: Introduction to Television Production teaches the basics of planning, shooting, editing and post-producing video and sound. Their productions are featured in newscasts throughout the year.


Digital Design & Photography students engage in learning experiences that encompass a variety of fields from journalism graphics, digital design and art, web design, photo production and editing and more. They learn to create designs and photographs utilizing a variety of industry standard software and equipment.
Principles of Biomedical Engineering students study human medicine, research processes and an introduction to bioinformatics. Students investigate the human body systems and various health conditions including heart disease, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, and infectious diseases. A theme through the course is to determine the factors that led to the death of a fictional person.
Ceramics students create works of art in clay utilizing the processes of hand building, molds, wheel throwing, slip and glaze techniques, and the firing processes.
Music program students can explore their passion for the arts through coursework and performance opportunities.

Ayanna Wash, a 2023 graduate of Bishop Noll institute, was the school’s first Black valedictorian in its 102-year history. A thespian, musician and scholar at Noll, Ayanna starred in the spring musical, performed at a college bowl game in Florida with the band and took part in Biology Club. She is majoring in biology at Marian University in Indianapolis and plans to pursue a career as a surgeon.

“I’m excited for all the opportunities ahead and all the doors that have opened. I am also so extremely grateful for all the teachers and faculty at Bishop Noll who have helped me get this scholarship. This was not an effort I made alone.”
Maria Emilia Quiroga, a 2023 BNI graduate, received the prestigious Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship for her achievements in academics, extracurriculars and her community. Quiroga is one of only six Lake County current seniors to receive the scholarship and is Bishop Noll's 13th Lilly Scholar since the statewide program began in 1998. Maria Emilia is attending the University of Notre Dame.

BNI sends 95% of students on to colleges or universities
104 graduates received a total of $23.2 MILLION in college scholarship offers - an average of just less than $223,000 per graduate.
“I am most proud of my academic and athletic accomplishments throughout high school. I maintained my GPA and a very tough class load while also setting multiple school records in volleyball.”
Hannah Evenson, a 2023 BNI graduate and class salutatorian, was a star in the classroom and on the volleyball court. She now attends Aurora University where she studies actuarial science and finance. She has also continued her volleyball career playing in college on an athletic scholarship.

“Though I am not Catholic, BNI has been very accepting of my Baptist background. I was astounded to realize BNI is trying to mold Christian disciples who worship the same Christian God. Studying and reading about God has strengthened my faith, and I now desire to have a stronger relationship with God."
Jackson Montgomery, a 2023 BNI graduate, starred in several school plays, sang in the school choir, performed Mass readings and excelled on the baseball team. Jackson is attending Coppin University where he will continue his baseball career on an athletic scholarship.

Graduates of Bishop Noll's Class of 2023 are headed to colleges and universities throughout the country including Saint Mary's College, the University of Notre Dame, Holy Cross College, Loyola University, Purdue University, Indiana University, Saint Xavier University, Valparaiso University, Aurora University, Coppin State University, Alabama A&M University, Marian University, University of Illinois Chicago and more!
