Welcome to another season packed with big hitting musicals, dance, opera, drama and comedy on our stages. We will also be bringing live performances to the streets of Birmingham with two of our festivals. In collaboration with city and arts partners we will present B-Side Hip Hop Festival at the end of May and Birmingham Weekender over August bank holiday.

In our mission to unlock theatre and the arts for all, our Creative Partnerships team continue to work with schools and young people throughout the region, and in collaboration with our wonderful Access and Inclusion advocates, ensuring the Hippodrome continues its journey towards being the most accessible venue of its scale in the UK. Check out our list of accessible performances on page 21.

Following on from the success of our first fully produced, five-star musical The Jingleclaw, we are delighted to announce our next ‘My First Musical’, No Such Thing as Wolves.Join Hettie the Hedgehog and friends for a fun filled, musical woodland adventure this December, in our Patrick Studio.

On our main stage, Rambert’s spectacular dance production of Peaky Blinders The Redemption of Thomas Shelby returns following previous sell-out runs. Musical comedy The Addams Family promises to be a scream in July, and you can catch Cameron Mackintosh and Disney’s magical Mary Poppins as she flies in for the summer holidays. Feel-good musical Buddy makes a long-awaited return at the end of August marking the end of our summer season of thrilling entertainment.

BRB2, Birmingham Royal Ballet’s second company, makes its Birmingham Hippodrome debut in May 2025. Described as ‘pinsharp and personality laden’ by The Telegraph, BRB2 brings together some of the world’s very best young dancers, the international stars of the future, to share their incredible talent.

Carlos Acosta has created a brandnew gala production for this year, featuring excerpts from the repertory of Serge Diaghilev’s troupe of rebel dancers, musicians and designers who fled Russia to set a new standard in creativity that inspires and resonates across the world of dance to this day.

Repertory includes Les Sylphides, Spectre de la Rose and excerpts from The Firebird, Scheherazade and Les Biches.
