THANKS With thanks to: Ameena Edwards, Ibrahim Ibrahim, Evision Electric Vehicles Flints Hire & Supply LTD, Presentation Design Services, Young Rep Backstage.

Little Red Riding Hood is generously supported by The Sir Barry Jackson Trust. In 1935, Sir Barry Jackson founded a trust to run Birmingham Repertory Theatre (effectively donating it to the city) and following his death in 1961, The Sir Barry Jackson Trust became a theatre charity. In 1986, the Trust’s income was dramatically increased, when the about-to-beabolished West Midlands Metropolitan County Council donated a large sum for the promotion of touring theatre in the region. Since then the Trust has donated well over half a million pounds to The Rep’s community tours to schools and other venues in Birmingham and beyond. The JMK Trust have generously provided the Bob Carlton Bursary for an Assistant Director. The JMK Trust was set up in memory of James Menzies-Kitchin who, after staging his first production in 1994, quickly established himself as a theatre director of thrilling promise. In 1996, at the age of only 28, James died suddenly and the JMK Trust was created to help others to fulfil their potential, as he had promised to do. The JMK Trust gives opportunities and training for young and emerging theatre directors through exclusive free workshops, networking and development opportunities with partner venues. In addition to these, the National Programme also offers Assistant Director bursaries, offering the chance to work as an assistant director on a production at their local venue. We are grateful to the family of Bob Carlton for making the Assistant Director Bursary on Little Red Riding Hood possible.

GREEN BOOK The Theatre Green Book is an initiative by the UK’s theatre industry to work in more sustainable ways. Little Red Riding Hood is part of a Theatre Green Book trial of shows that use less resource, recycle more, and control energy in all aspects of the production. Here are some of the cool things we did for this production:

There are over 100 umbrellas on set and all of them have been sourced second hand! The trees are all made from UK sourced bamboo and leftover materials from a previous production All of the costumes have been sourced second hand or made from fabric that we already had in our stores You’ve made the magic possible! A huge thank you to everyone who donated to make our Green Book ambitions a reality.
