King Penguin (Aptenodytes patagonicus) Nobody knows why this colony of King Penguins, the second largest penguin on earth, returned after thousand of years to breed in Bahía Inútil (Useless Bay) in Tierra del Fuego. They certainly used to inhabit these lands in the past but then they disappeared. Currently studies on the migrations of these penguins and the relationship with the extinct culture of the Selknam are being conducted. So it is a story that still has a lot of questions to be answered.
