At Birdie Fortescue we have a passion for future heritage and slow living, creating high quality and unique products that can be cherished for years to come. Each season we develop a new collection of luxury homewares, designed to be seamlessly layered with our past collections and existing pieces within the home. With expert knowledge garnered from a career in interior design and antiques, Birdie finds inspiration during her travels and these ideas spark the design process at our Norfolk Studio. From there, we work in partnership with skilled artisans from around the world, and every step is considered to create timeless interiors, designed by Birdie, curated by you.

Bold textures, inspired designs, and eclectic finishes add personality to any room, while a thoughtfully curated colour palette mirrors Havana’s rich hues and warmth. Designed to stand the test of time, the Havana Collection provides the perfect backdrop for indulgent Autumn Winter living, with classic designs that will bring heart and soul to many interiors for years to come.

CORE COLOURS & DESIGNS

Ladrillo

With travel and culture deeply imbued in our ethos, the creation of every piece tells a story.

For Havana, each design began as an idea inspired by Birdie’s travels to the city, with the collection capturing its essence through elements like intricate ceramic tiles, vibrant street art, and historic architecture. These unique inspirations are reimagined across our range of cushions, lampshades, and table linens, brought to life through bold prints and rich textures.

Our colour palette for the Havana Collection brings seasonal flair and warmth to the home with saturated textures and vibrant colours, perfect for the autumn season through to deep winter and beyond. From deep, lush greens and striking blues echoing Havana’s vibrant streets, to soft pinks and warm, muted reds that capture the city’s dusty charm, each hue is carefully selected. This palette infuses interiors with the warmth and vibrancy of Cuban culture, creating a rich and inviting atmosphere for the season.

Reuda

Inspired by an exquisitely tiled floor in a serene Havana courtyard, the Ladrillo cushion features a chic fringe that adds playful texture. Available in two colorways, this design seamlessly links various hues, anchoring any scheme.

With its clean, straight lines, this geometric motif perfectly complements softer or floral patterns.

Pantone Palette: Loden Frost 17-0210, Aegean Blue 18-4320

San Juan

Our hero design of the season, Rueda, draws on the vast array of ceramic tiling often seen in the urban buildings of Old Havana, where each tile is an artwork in its own right. This loose, carefree pinwheel design borrows from a style unique to Cuba, with influences taken from Spanish and Portuguese ceramics merged with the Cuban free spirit; movement and life.

Pantone Palette: Stone Blue 16-4114, Etruscan Red 18-1434

Inspired by the intricate ironwork balustrades of the Bacardi Building, an Art Deco landmark, the El Vedado cushion features a playful motif that brings a touch of elegance to any space. Designed to complement the larger Remolino cushion, this piece seamlessly blends with the collection, adding a refined yet lively accent to your decor.

Pantone Palette: Blue Mirage 18-4215

Remolino Inspired by the intricate ironwork Art Deco paneling of the Bacardi Building in Old Havana, the Remolino Cushion features an uplifting swirl design. El Vedado Inspired by the conservatory designed by René Lalique at Baro-Lasa, the El Vedado cushion features a dramatic explosion of geometric shapes. These shapes have been simplified and coloured to create a versatile small-scale print that, along with a ric rac trim, pairs effortlessly with florals and larger geometric designs.

SOFT FURNISHINGS Our Autumn Winter soft furnishings have been carefully designed and curated by Birdie to layer effortlessly in any interior scheme. Featuring hero designs, old favourites and new textiles, we are delighted to introduce a new Aravali Bedspread and the decant Veruna Wool Rug in two rich colourways. As well as a range of block printed and velvet embroidered cushions, including our Reuda motif, a pinwheel design inspired by the culturally blended styles of Cuban tilework and a selection of bright silk Ikat cushions that bring a truly special handcrafted touch to any arrangement.

The Inlaid Collection The Havana Inlaid Coffee Table and Side Table have been meticulously crafted from bone and mango wood by artisans in Rajasthan, India.
