Style A – 1 x ball each Main Colour (MC-silver) and Contrast Colour (C-string)
Style B – 1 x ball each Main Colour (MC-string) and Contrast Colour (C-silver)
HOOKS AND EXTRAS
A 3.00mm crochet hook, or size gives correct tension. A stitch marker; Hobby fill; A yarn needle.
TENSION
11 dc and 11 rows to 5 cm over dc fabric, using 3.00mm hook.
NOTE
Instructions are in UK/Australian terminology
Unless otherwise stated these toys are worked in continuous rounds. Do not join at the end of each round but continue, place a marker at the end of each round and move it as required.
STYLE A
Legs (make 2)
Using 3.00mm hook and MC, make 2ch.
1st round - Miss 1ch, 6dc in next ch.
2nd round - 2dc in each st to end = 12dc.
3rd round - 1dc in each st to end.
Rep last round 9 times.
Break off MC and join in C for rem.
Work a further 4 rounds dc, sl st in next st. Fasten off.
Make another leg, do not fasten off.
Body
Using C for rem, join Legs by working 1dc in each st of each leg … 24dc.

Work 13 rounds dc.
Next round - * Dec over next 2 sts, 1dc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * to end = 18dc.
Next Round - * Dec over next 2 sts, 1dc in next st, rep from * to end, sl st in next st = 12dc. Fasten off.
Head
Using 3.00mm hook and MC, make 2ch. 1st round - Miss 1ch, 6dc in next ch = 6dc. 2nd round - 2dc in each st to end = 12dc.
3rd round - * 2dc in next st, 1dc in next st, rep from * to end = 18dc. 4th round - * 2dc in next st, 1dc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * to end = 24dc.
5th round - * 2dc in next st, 1dc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * to end = 30dc.
6th round - * 2dc in next st, 1dc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * to end = 36dc.
7th round - * 2dc in next st, 1dc in each of next 5 sts, rep from * to end = 42dc.
8th round - 1dc in each st to end.
Rep last round 5 times.
14th round - * dec over next 2 sts, 1dc in each of next 5 sts, rep from * to end = 36dc.
15th round - * dec over next 2 sts, 1dc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * to
end = 30dc.
16th round - * dec over next 2 sts, 1dc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * to end = 24dc.
17th round - * dec over next 2 sts, 1dc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * to end = 18dc.
18th round - * dec over next 2 sts, 1dc in next st, rep from * to end, sl st in next st = 12dc.
Fasten off.
Arms (make 2)
Using 3.00mm hook and MC, make 2ch.
1st round - Miss 1ch, 6dc in next ch = 6dc.
2nd round - * 2dc in next st, 1dc in next st, rep from * to end = 9dc.
3rd round - 1dc in each st to end.
Rep last round 15 times, sl st in next st.
Fasten off.
Ears (make 2)
Using 3.00mm hook and MC, make 2ch.
1st round - Miss 1ch, 4dc in next ch = 4dc.
2nd round - 2dc in each st to end = 8dc.
3rd round - 1dc in each st to end.
4th round - * 2dc in next st, 1dc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * once = 10dc.
5th round - * 2dc in next st, 1dc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * once = 12dc.
6th round - * 2dc in next st, 1dc in each of next 5 sts, rep from * once = 14dc.
7th round - * 2dc in next st, 1dc in each of next 6 sts, rep from * once = 16dc.
8th round - 1dc in each st to end.
Rep last round 7 times, sl st in next st. Fasten off.
Skirt
Worked in the round and joined at the end of each round.
Using 3.00mm hook and C, make 24ch, join to form a circle, taking care not to twist ch.
1st round - 1ch, 1dc in each ch to end, sl st in dc at beg = 24dc.
2nd round - 1ch, 2dc in each st to end, sl st in dc at beg = 48dc.
Rep last round once = 96dc.
4th round - 1ch, 1dc in each st to end, sl st in dc at beg.
Fasten off.
STYLE B
Legs and Body
Work as for Legs and Body of Style A to **.
Work 4 rows dc in C
Work 4 rows dc in MC
Work 4 rows dc in C
Change to MC for rem and work 1 round dc.
Next round - * Dec over next 2 sts, 1dc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * to end = 18dc.
Next round - * Dec over next 2 sts, 1dc in next st, rep from * to end, sl st in next st = 12dc.
Fasten off.
Head, Arms and Ears
Work as for Style A.
FINISHING
DO NOT PRESS. Fill legs, body and head with hobby fill. Join head to body. Place a small amount of hobby fill into ends of arms, gather top and sew in position. Flatten ears and oversew at base, pin in position then sew to top of head. Using dark brown, embroider facial features as pictured. For Style A only, place skirt on rabbit and sew in position.
