MEASUREMENTS
Size (approx) 50 x 50 cm
MATERIALS
Chunky 100% Acrylic 100g x 7 balls
HOOKS AND EXTRAS
A 9mm crochet hook, or size that gives correct tension. A yarn needle; 50 cm x 50 cm cushion insert.
TENSION
8 sts and 10 rows to 10 cm over dc fabric, using 9mm hook.
SPECIAL ABBREVIATION
bobble - insert hook, pull up a loop, (yoh and pull up a loop) twice, yoh and pull through 5 loops on hook.
CUSHION FRONT
Note - Bobbles are worked on WS.
Using 9mm hook, make 37ch.
1st row - Miss first ch, 1dc into each ch to end = 36 sts. 2nd row - 1ch, 1dc into each st to end.
Rep 2nd row 3 times.
6th row - 1ch, 1dc in first st, (bobble in next st, 1dc in each of next 7 sts) 4 times, bobble in next st, 1dc in each dc till end.
7th row - As 2nd row.
8th row - 1ch, 1dc into each of next 2dc, (bobble in next st, 1dc in each of next 5 sts, bobble in next st, 1dc in next st) 3 times, bobble in next st, 1dc in each dc till end.
9th row - As 2nd row.
10th row - 1ch, (1dc in each of next 3 sts, bobble in next st) 7 times, 1dc in each dc till end.
11th row - As 2nd row.
12th row - 1ch, (1dc in each of next 4 sts, bobble in next st, 1dc in next st, bobble in next st) 3 times, 1dc in each dc till end. 13th row - As 2nd row.
14th row - 1ch,1dc in each of next 5dc, (bobble in next st, 1dc in each of next 7dc) twice, bobble in next st, 1dc in each dc till end.
Rep 2nd row 5 times.
Rep 6th to 19th rows twice.
48th row - As 2nd row.
Fasten off.
CUSHION BACK
Using 9mm hook, make 37ch.
1st row - Miss first ch, 1dc into each ch to end = 36 sts. 2nd row - 1ch, 1dc into each st to end.
Rep 2nd row 46 times more = 48 rows in total.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
With WS together and using a flat seam, join 3 sides of cushion, turn inside out, place the insert in side and join last side. Darn in ends.
