NEEDLES AND EXTRAS

1 pair 7mm knitting needles, or size that gives correct tension.

A yarn needle.

TENSION 14.5 sts to 10 cm in width over patt, using 7mm needles.

This wrap has been worked on larger needles than normally recommended.

NECKBAND Using 7mm needles, cast on 51 sts.

1st row (WS) - Purl 2nd row (RS) – K2, *yfwd, K3, with left hand needle lift the first of the 3 sts just knitted over the last 2 sts, rep from * to last st, K1.

3rd row - Purl 4th row – K1, * K3, with left hand needle lift the first of the 3 sts just knitted over the last 2 sts, yfwd, rep from * to last 2 sts, K2.

Rows 1 to 4 inclusive form patt.

Cont in patt until work measures 200 cm from beg, ending with a purl row.

Cast off loosely.

FINISHING DO NOT PRESS. Sew in all ends neatly towards centre of work, rather than along side edges.
