Thesis Statement:
The meditative craft, like crochet, utilizes a tool and a hand to loop a thread into infinite possibilities. It is the only handmade
practice that cannot be replicated, or mass produced by machines, unlike knitting and weaving. This connection between the material and the human sparks for community building by creating together. As a community, designing a
space shows strength in collaboration and learning the craft.
A singular knot weaves embedded concepts that explores three aspects: fabrication and notation, structure and comfort, and community and mental health. This framework documents how to crochet using the notational conventions
