Combining knowledge and expertise to recommend the right solutions Our Utility Engineering and Coordination team assists our clients with the identification and relocation of utilities. In the design phase, our team identifies potential conflicts and presents alternatives for a quick resolution. We work with the roadway design team to avoid, mitigate, and accommodate utility conflicts. We also work with right-of-way to prioritize parcel acquisitions needed for utility relocations. Our team is well-versed in preparing utility agreements and invoice reconciliation for the utility owner’s reimbursement. We review the plan developed by the utility owner for any issues with the proposed construction or with other utility relocations.
If our team needs more information about the utility, our in-house Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) group has the resources to accurately locate subsurface utilities based on Quality Levels A through D. Our team provides utility inspection to verify the utility’s relocation through daily work reports and other documentation. The team focuses on providing solutions for utility coordination issues impacting the construction and schedule for the client.
