WELCOME TO THE 2023 SEASON It is with pleasure and excitement that I welcome you to the 59th Bowdoin International Music Festival. We come together to appreciate the extraordinary talents of musicians from around the world and experience the transformative power of music. This year’s Festival promises to be filled with memorable performances, inspiring collaborations, and thrilling moments. From classical masterpieces to contemporary compositions, from intimate chamber recitals to grand symphonic concerts, each program is curated to captivate our audiences. The Bowdoin International Music Festival has long been recognized as a haven for exceptional music education, drawing promising young students from around the globe. At concerts, you will experience their dedication and perseverance, as they showcase their artistry under the guidance of renowned faculty and guest artists. Beyond the performances, the Festival fosters a sense of community and camaraderie among musicians and audiences alike. Midcoast Maine is the perfect backdrop for this musical celebration.
