Bowdoin International Music Festival
2022 SEASON Welcome Back!
Sustainable investing may be a newer term, but its roots at HM Payson run 168 years deep. When deciding where to invest, our firm has always looked beyond the standard metrics, weighing factors like environmental stewardship, governance, brand equity, and community involvement attributes that we know lead to long-term financial strength, healthy returns, and the kind of portfolio your family will be proud to own, now and into the future.

Welcome Back to the Festival!
We are pleased to welcome you to the Bowdoin International Music Festival’s 2022 season! It is a joy to finally gather with you again in person for concerts, classes, and special events celebrating our shared love for chamber music.
This season, more than 250 students from around the world join our faculty and guest artists for an immersive summer of solo and chamber music study. We hope you will join us for Subscription Series Concerts, Community Concerts, the Gamper Festival of Contemporary Music, Masterclasses, Meet the Composer Talks, and Young Artists Concerts, all featuring the incredible talent and dedication of our 2022 class of students, faculty, and guest artists.
We wouldn’t be here, back together, without our amazing community of supporters. Your sustained commitment to our mission over the past few years has been inspiring, and we are deeply grateful. Thank you for your partnership and for transforming the lives of our young musicians.

Festival Giving Opportunities
Your gift inspires extraordinary music.
Our goal is to provide you with giving opportunities that will help you inspire extraordinary music in a manner that is most meaningful to you. You may take action today or plan for a lifetime legacy. Let us know how we can assist you in making the most of your desire to make a difference here at the Bowdoin International Music Festival.
Endow a Fund
The Festival’s endowment provides a steady source of funding to support world-class education. Your Endowment gift creates a lasting legacy and helps us engage musicians of the highest caliber for generations to come.
Named Endowment Funds can also provide an opportunity to honor or memorialize loved ones.
Leave a Legacy
The Encore Society recognizes individuals who have included the Festival in their will or other estate plans.
Estate gifts given as bequests can take various forms including cash, stock, IRA distribution, or approved property and works of art. Bequests do not reduce one’s current assets and can provide you with a way to ensure a long-lasting legacy. You may also establish a Named Endowment Fund with your estate gift.
The Festival is pleased to discuss individualized options for your legacy planning.

Sponsor a Student
We hope you will consider becoming a student sponsor and changing the life of an aspiring young musician.
Each year, 250 young musicians attend the Bowdoin International Music Festival’s summer institute to study with exceptional faculty and prepare for a life in music. Many of these talented students do not have sufficient financial resources to attend the Festival. Our goal is to ensure that music education is available to all admitted students regardless of financial limitations. To make their attendance possible, the Festival pairs these students with generous sponsors.
