Potentiality (The Futur e) Ther e is the past. It alr eady happened. Ther e is the now. Your pr esent m om ents. But w hat about the futur e?

Ther e is no futur e. Because after you type the w or d or say it, the futur e becom es now.

Do you believe in luck? Chance? This author no longer believe in these things. I pr efer m athem atics not coincidences. Logical, statistical data. Facts.

You w ant to know w hat w ill happen to you in the futur e? Well, w hat is happening to you now ?

How ar e you living your life? Do you choose one set of pr efer r ed actions over the other ?

I call that a m indset. A m ethod of thinking.

But w hat if I have no pow er of choice.

W hat if I am shackled to my situation?

Do you they hold the key to your m ind as w ell? W hat w ould happen if you did your ow n thinking? No m editation, no yoga, no chanting, no w or ship, no seeing elder s, pr iests. Only thinking. And br eathing per haps, m aybe a glass of w ater near. Do you do your thinking in the par k? On the tr ain? W hile sm oking a cigar ette?

How do I get to my better futur e? Just by thinking?

Ther e is no better. Ther e just is. Ther e is no futur e. But ther e could be thinking. And you could do it.

I w ant to believe that this is all possible. But I am skeptical.

Too bad that you w ant to believe anything. Sounds like you have m ade up your m ind.

W hat if I get lost? W hat if I get scar ed? W hat if I can't handle the change?

Stay w ith your now. You know it w ell. The unknow n is too challenging for you.

But I can be fear less. I can be str ong.

But you can also be stupid. Bor edom dr ives you to chaos. Em otions take hold. Logic gets lost.

We w ant w hat w e had. We ar e nostalgic. We seek the old, ter r ified by the unknow n.

So ther e is no futur e. Just the pr esent m om ents of facts.

And then the unknow n?

I don't know that. That is for you to think about. Your concept of tim e, dim ension, and space is lim iting. It is a com for t zone. Stay ther e and r est your head. Sleep until death. M aybe other s w ill m our n your passing. W hile other lifefor m s evolve past your level of com pr ehension the day that they ar e bor n. Hum ans lear n, deal-w ith, endur e, suffer and str uggle. Then pass it on to the next gener ation, to the envir onm ent and beyond. But a sea tur tle just know s. It know s how to sw im , find food then m ate and cr eate w ithout ever being taught. Only because of the envir onm ental inter fer ence of M an and his city lights, does the sea tur tle em er ge fr om the egg and begin to cr aw l the w r ong w ay.

But ther e ar e the evil; the sociopaths, the contr oller s, the m anipulator s, the r uler s, the dar k ones.

Ha! And they ar e you and you ar e they. Hum anity; the w eak , the str ong, the evil, the good, the bad ar e all attached like cr abs in a bar r el that is on fir e. Be bur ned alive if you stay tr apped. Be destined to an unknow n futur e if you get out. Your fam ily, your co-w or ker s, your leader s, the im pr isoned. All united by fear. Fear of having no title, no per sonality, no outside attachm ents or distr actions. Fear of having no one to blam e, som eone to hold accountable for the past. Nostalgic so em otions take hold. Em otions no longer pr otect, they pr oject. Pr oject the past onto the pr esent. The futur e r em ains cer tain.
