Nevada Domestic Violence Stats
Of the 1,791 contacts made from Nevada by the National Domestic Violence Hotline in 2015, 206 self-reported legal issues as a particular factor in their experience, stalking was claimed by 61% of the victims and strangulation by 54%. Eighteen percent of the callers reported pregnancy as a special factor, 36% said firearms were involved in their cases, and 42% of the contacts were made by immigrants.
Of those reporting legal issues as a significant factor, 36% were concerning protective orders, custody and visitation issues comprised 20% and citizenship was a concern to thirty-three of the callers or 6%.
