The history of the tee goes back to a land that time forgot, but the political tee goes back... well, not so far back. Nevertheless, its entrance onto the fashion scene demands a proper introduction, which began with Plastisol. From that moment on, a nation disenfranchised voters, businesspeople, and angry protesting students took the chemical and a few Hanes t-shirts to invent the political tee. Psychedelic artist Warren Dayton pioneered the political tee and contributed greatly to corporate branding. He would later found ArtiFact, Ink, a major studio in Diamond Springs, CA. Over 60 years later, political tees have gone strength to strength and have become a major player in the fight for creative (and political) expression.
