is mazzanine? A mezzanine is an intermediate floor in a building which is partly open to the double-height ceilinged floor below, or which does not extend over the whole floorspace of the building, a loft with non-sloped walls. In many instances, mezzanines are referred to as the floor above the ground floor. Depending on their purpose, mezzanines can be permanent or temporary and serve as extra office space, storage area, or a work platform. Mezzanines can be installed in multiple locations and formats from a platform outside a building to improve building access or as a second level to a work area.
