1.All participants must be a BILD Calgary Region Association Member, or a spouse of a BILD Calgary Region Association Member to qualify for hole and flight prizes.
2.RCGA rules apply. Local rules will supersede RCGA rules.
3.Winners will be determined by a one day total - GROSS SCORES.
4.MUST play best ball as it lies unless instructed by tournament officials that lift, clean and place rules are in effect.
5.Please do not hold up play - it is important we keep the tournament on time.
6.Men play from 'blue' tees.
7.Ladies play from 'red' tees.
8.Maximum score on each hole is double par; please pick up if you reach this score.
If you wish to qualify for the horse race, you MUST complete the hole no matter what your score is.
If you wish to qualify for the horse race, you MUST check the box and write your cell number on the scorecard.
1 On every hole you ALL take your drive
2 Then, choose the best ball of the bunch to hit next, pick up the rest
3 All hit again from that "best ball" spot
4 Repeat until you are on the green
5 Mark the ball closest to the pin, all from that spot Repeat until your ball is holed
6 If someone hits a great shot before all have played that shot, you can agree to move up and hit from there next
7.Mark your total best strokes only on the card for that hole for your team.
8.No minimum drives.
9.Both groups on the same tee play together.
The lowest handicap player will act as team captain and will be responsible for keeping score and handing the card into our scoring services immediately after play.
All golfers will be given individual scorecards and will be required to keep score for anothergolfer
The official scorecard for each foursomewill be distributed on the golf course each morning; this card must be attestedbefore turning into the BILD Calgary Region officials for scoring Our scoring companywill be set up at the Mountainside clubhouse and it is your responsibility to turn this card in after your round of golf is over. If it is not turned in each day, your team will be disqualified and rights to play in the HorseRace are forfeited
We are countingon your cooperation in order to help us completethe scoring before the evening functions. Please use an extra card for recordingside games and make sure the official card is legible and all additions complete Please have your scorecard signed by one member from each team for verification
The top 11 Low Gross golfers on Friday will draw a partner from the next 11 Low Gross golfers, beginning with the number one golfer In the case of a tie between the 11th and 22ndposition, players will be chosen using a count back (low score) starting on the 17th hole until a player is chosen

3 To qualify you must complete the hole and record your actual score
4 All players will play from the blue tees
5 To qualify, you must have Amateur status
6 Golfers must play the qualifying round Friday morning at Mountainside, no exceptions
We request that each Horse Race participant have a caddy during the race A team 'numbered pinny 'will be given to each caddy and must be worn during the race
ALL Horse Race golfers should be at Mountainside Clubhouse NO LATER than 2:00pm with their caddies for final instructions and pictures.
Rules of Play:
1. TEAM PLAYERS MUST DECIDE WHO WILL TEE OFF ON THE ODD HOLES AND THE EVEN HOLES. Format is alternate shot, all strokes to be played alternatively tee to green. Penalty strokes do not affect the order of play. a. Example - Player A hits ball out of bounds (penalty stroke assessed) Player B hits the ball next.
1. 2.CHIP OFF, ball to be placed at location to be determined by designated course Marshall. Each chip is to be marked to measure by the Marshall, and the participants in the chip off cannot watch each other chip until after the player has chipped To be in play, the ball must remain on the green Player chipping farthest from the hole drops out
2 3 ALL decisions made by the Marshall are final
3 4 ONLY players in the race have the right to ask for a ruling and the course Marshall will make the decision
4 5 Each player MUST use a marked ball for this event and should advise other players if and when changing balls
As this event is an imposition on the management of the course, please make every effort to follow the above guidelines to ensure that this exciting event may continue in future years
The auction for the Horse Race will take place in the evening on Friday, June 6 After the Horse Race teams are selected and posted, they will be auctioned CASH ONLY accepted for team purchases
Team purchases MUST BE FINALIZED BETWEEN 1:00pm - 2:00pm on Saturday at the Mountainside Pro Shop Office
All qualified BILD Calgary Region golfers must agree to participate in the Horse Race prior to the auction If a playerdeclines, the next willing Low Gross golferwill be the replacement If a player or team scratches prior to the Horse Race, the team is disqualified and all funds will be returned to the owners.
Players may not be substituted after the auction. All decisions by the Fairmont subcommittee are final.
Payout format:
60% - Owner of winning team
25% - Owner of second team
10% - Owner of third team
5% - BILD Calgary Region
Player options:
The team players may purchase up to a maximum of 50% of the team prior to leaving the auction at cost from the owner Please advise owners of your intentions prior to the race
Hole and flight prizes will be awarded in the form of golf balls and will be posted on the board in the Mountainside Clubhouse Competition Awards
