FINDING THE PERFECT FIT

The most important aspects of a custom fit are the contact points, the components that you touch while riding. Orbea offers narrow handlebars to fit slender shoulders and shorter or longer stems to accommodate differing torso and arm lengths. Saddles are available to fit women better, and crank length can be selected to proportionately match leg length.

MORPHOLOGY

We can make general observations or predictions about the human body, but there are no hard rules - what works for one rider might not be good for another. We all know two friends of the same height that obviously have different body types. Generally though, the contact points of the bicycle are able to accommodate almost any shape. Stem length and height can be changed for torso and arm length, a rider’s shoulder width dictates how wide the handlebars should be, and crank length can be varied based on inseam. Saddles are designed for the width of the “sit bones” and while women generally have wider sit bones, there are plenty of men out there who could also benefit from a wider saddle. Because of this natural variation and our desire to customize your bike exactly for you, we offer components to help you get your Orbea just right.
